Thanks for letting me look around for a few days. I've enjoyed meeting you all and reading some very interesting threads with excellent contributors. I think it's time to move on and look for a place I feel more comfortable in. It just doesn't sit well with me to be told I should let certain members direct the threads, that certain threads "belong" to certain members, that jokes and teasing are advisable only when one has some certain status or other.

I'm truly sorry if my humour was challenging for a few of you. It was meant in all good will and I was astonished and deeply dismayed by a few of the responses it incurred. I mean this most sincerely.

Valerie, I hope you never have cause to shout at anyone again in big red letters or to ban anyone else from your pub.

One of the "senior" forum members, Jives, took a similar action recently, but had a change of heart after support and messages from others here at the Forum Garden. It's my sincere hope you can have a similar change of heart. Please don't let a select few ruin your experience here. A chorus needs many voices to be in harmony. Please continue to let your voice be heard.

Ruth, This is ridiculous. I for one would very much like to read more of what you have to say. Gardens have all kinds of plants. Avoid the Venus Fly Traps. Wear your gloves.... and stay amongst the Zinnias. Corny Huh?

I'm not sure I have had a chance to talk to you in any of the forums...........your name seems familiar though. Please don't leave - we need people like you here. I am so sorry you had a bad experience with a few people. Try not to align yourself with any particular but always keep yourself safe from harrassment. If there are bad things said in threads - report them. If there are bad PM's - report them to either Tombstone or Anastrophe. Many good wishes to you Ruth.

I didn't see any posts where "she declined." She explained herself well, which is not forum law that I'm aware of. She went back to "the pub" and offered an apology of her own. She was raked over the coals unnecessarily, IMO.

Ruth is being a baby. Did anyone see me start the "Im leaving, Im a victim thread" when sheryl_b went off on me about being bitter because I cant have my own children and that if I do adopt that child will never be mine? No. Get over it people! You are going to come across people that you dont ever agree with, you are going to come across people who have been here along time and know the rules and/or etiquette and sometimes you are going to come across people who are complete a$$holes. If you dont like it, LEAVE, thats your free will.

Im sick of seeing this crap. This is a forum where people discuss things from serious to non-sensical. Most of us make friends and some of us dont. Its just the way life is. ANd if you come here and cant make even one friend, its probably you, because there are over a thousand different people here. Valerie was completely polite to her (I cant speak for any PM's because I didnt see them).

I think its nice that everyone is supportive (I got alot and appreciate it more than you know) but do we really have to beg someone to stay that has been here a few days?

I haven't seen anyone post a "beg" yet, regarding Ruth. I'm just trying to let her know that she has options here so she might decide to stay, like Jives did. I can't remember, did you post similar sentiments in the thread dedicated to Jives exit in the airplane?
