Admiration Emulation

Interesting topic. I was thinking about this a few months ago. One person I admire these days is Patrick Fitzgerald. He's tough, honest, smart, and doesn't take any crap from anyone. He assisted in the prosecution of John Gotti and prosecuted those responsible for the 1993 WTC bombing. He has also prosecuted various democrat and republican politicians over the years. Republicans tried like hell to find something they could use to claim bias in the Libby indictment but came up with nada. Zilch.

Kay Bailey Hutchison made the comment, "I certainly hope that if there is going to be an indictment that says something happened, that it is an indictment on a crime and not some perjury technicality..."

Fitzgerald responded, "That talking point won't fly... The truth is the engine of our judicial system. If you compromise the truth, the whole process is lost … if we were to walk away from this, we might as well hand in our jobs."

We need more people like Fitzgerald in this country.

Jimmy Carter.

What a humanitarian !

Since he left office he has dedicated his life to making the world more livable.

He is the most sincere man I can think of.

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

PS there were a few smacks on the behind for our troubles but I think that made us better people also. :-6
