Girls and chocolate

I came home from work last night (this morning, actually) and Bullet was already asleep. I went in to check on him, make sure he'd taken his pain pills, did he need anything, etc....

He said, "Go look in the top drawer of my dresser." I opened it up to find a big bag of Dove dark chocolate squares and Target's Choxie dark chocolate truffles.

He said, "You're due to start your period any day, so I knew you'd be needing that."

What a guy!! Hurting and half zombified from all his pain pills, he went out and got my chocolate because it keeps me happy during "that" time of the month.

What is it with girls, chocolate, and periods??? Is it just an excuse or is it really a necessity at that time? (For me, it's totally necessary!!) :yh_drool

What a great guy you have to think ahead and have the necessities available! :-4 Yep.....chocolate is the perfect fix during that time of the month!!!!

Total necessity for me too! I've just munched my way through two cadbury flakes, and still want more! Maybe we just need the sugar rush?

Any other time I would snack on something savoury.

OMG! Me too!!!

The week before I'm due on, I start to crave chocolate badly and I eat it, but too much can make me feel sick. The week I'm "on", there is NO such thing as too much chocolate! I HAVE to eat some every day! The 1st week after the end of "that" week...I can't abide the smell of chocolate - it makes me feel really nauseous!! And I certainly couldn't eat any! Yuk!

PS Today the cravings are starting! Hubby took the kids shopping today and I know he bought me some yummy chocolates, which he has hidden away for my birthday next week! I haven't found them yet...but give me time!!! :wah:

I don't know if this is true of anyone else, but there's two other things I have noticed.

Firstly, the week after my period has ended, I find I'm really smart. (Don't laugh!

) People seem to be amazed at the intelligent things I say and I think about things far more deeply. Then as the month wears on I seem to get dozier (duh!

) and then the week before I'm due on I find my head is full of fluff and I'm always forgetting things! Does anyone else find they have this dozy-head syndrome??

The second thing I've noticed is that 2 weeks before I'm due on (which is when you produce an egg or ova that's ready for fertilisation) I'm absolutely desperate for sex! Its a good thing this is an internet forum, cos I wouldn't tell my best friend this stuff! It's obviously the body's need to reproduce and continue the human race but the urge to just "do it" is REALLY strong for about a week and I'm happy to jump his bones until about the middle or end of "that" week. After that, if he's in the mood, he just gets pushed away and told to leave me alone. Then about 10 days later I start feeling interested again. No wonder the poor guys confused!

Anyone else get any of this stuff? Or am I just weird???

The week before my period I'll drive somewhere and then think, how the hell did I get here! I'm sure I'm not fit to drive during that week!!

I'm certainly dozy in the run up, slow to get jokes etc.

And the same with being absolutely desparate for sex!! Gagging for it!! :wah:

You're not weird!!

So, have we all synchronised on here yet?? I'm more or less synchronised with my sister and my closest freind! At least we can all be teasy farts or highly emotional together!!
