My very best girlfriend of about 10 years has joined up here recently, but she has yet to announce herself, or make a single post.

Now, listen up my friend....I know you're busy, I know you've got a TON going on right now, but get your ass in here and introduce yourself to the gang!!! If you don't, I'm going to rat you out to my friends here, and you will be flooded with PM's and posts to come out and play. These people are relentless, and if they know one of my real-life friends is here, they will seek you out, pounce on you, and drag you kicking and screaming into the open.

OKAY!!!!Hello! I finally made it here! So, yeah, BR and I are super close friends in real life. We met at a bar and ended up working together at an animal clinic. Now I live in the country with roughly 100 animals. I am a serious rabbit breeder, goat breeder and own horses and dogs and cats. Most of the dogs and cats were rescued, along with a mule and two of my goats.

I am getting an associate's degree this spring in Fisheries & Wildlife and will be moving on, majoring in Biology in hopes of becoming an animal behaviorist.

I hope I get to know all of you and look forward to the replies!:)

So what kind of goats do you have? Nubian, Saanen, LaMancha? Those

are the only ones I have any experience with...

Really admire you for getting to live like that... I do know it's a lot of

work, though!!

Hi Val, nice to meet you! My goats are crossbred: Nubian/Boer, Nubian/Toggenburg and Alpine/Toggenburg. I really like goat milk and I have found myself preferring the Nub/Tog mix. They make excellent milk producers and are great for milking. We were successful in having a total of four goats born this week. There would have been three more if the ice cold weather waited a day, but she had them in the middle of the night and had three for her first litter and was not able to dry them quick enough before they froze-even in the shelter the temps dropped extremely low. I didn't get much sleep before the next arrival, because of paranoia of losing another to the cold. But the last one was born yesterday in the morning on a sunny bed of straw, right in front of me!:)

Hi Tiger, welcome to our FG family, you're gonna love it in here! Any friend of BR's is a friend of ours! An "animal rescuer" wow, you're a winner already. That is a wonderful thing that you do, I've seen some of the nasty cruel things people do to animals on the TV program Animal Pricinct.
