When I list a url and then post an excerpt from it, I format the excerpted material as a quote to separate it from my own comments.
By the next day the formatted quote has disappeared. The words are still there but not as a formatted quote.
Howcome?

Do you copy & paste directly from the source? I think that has something to do with it. I have no problem on my old computer, but when I try it on the newer laptop, the whole 'puter actually reboots!
Try the workaround I use: I open my word processor & set it up with Verdana 10 pitch. Then whenever I want to copy from another url, I paste it unformatted into the WP. Copy from the WP & paste onto FG.
It's kind of a pain, but I haven't had a problem since.

I doubt that it's anywhere but the server. I had one like it earlier in the week. Bronwen, did it happen on a post you edited subsequently? That might be where the glitch is.

When you design tactics to maximise suffering on civilian populations and your only constraint is operational rather than moral, you've told the world who you are.

There is a bug - when you post a quote near the top of your post - and it appears on our top page - you blow out all the margins. I'm sure you've all seen that.
When we see this - we take out your quotes. The best way around this is to make sure your quoted piece is further down in your post or just use: " "
