What Did You Learn Today ?

Post by Nomad »

The world is big. Theres a lot going on every day. I think everyone should make an effort to learn at least one new thing a day, anything.

Today I learned Kris Kristofferson is a Rhodes Scholar. I didnt know that and I find it interesting, makes me want to know more about his activism.

I learned I have a warped sense of wonder like yourself.... gosh gee.

Ok what did I learn today...I learned that someone else has been through some similar struggles as me and as humans we are not alone in the world.

I should drink more water

I should take more notice of things that are happening at work ( I took my finger off the pulse and a big problem crawled out of the woodwork)

WD-40 adds coke-busting to its list of handy household chores

By Alan Hamilton and Stewart Tendler

NI_MPU('middle');IT LOOSENS rusty screws, cleans piano keys, stops wicker chairs squeaking, and removes crayon marks from wallpaper. Now another use has joined the myriad applications of the lubricant WD-40; it stops you snorting coke from lavatory lids.

I learned that I have made more lasting friendships in Britain, in 2 1/2 years, than I have in all my 40+ in the states. Guess I found my place in the world.

I built a bunny cage a few yrs back...Im no carpenter but it turned out very well. Ill help if I can. I used 2x2's to the desired height with 1/2 plywood for the floor and roof.

Very important...dont nail it, get yourself some L brackets and screw them in. This will give you a very solid cage.

Thank you Nomad. You are always so sweet.:-4

I am going to try and build a cube cage, made out of metal grids, it is going to be an indoor bunny. There is lots of room downstairs, and he will have lots of room to play when he is out of the cage. I am going to buy the materials tonight, and put it together probably tomorrow when my chores are done! Oh, I think it is so exciting to get a bunny!

I wonder if I can leash train him like my kitty...................:wah: That always frazzles the neighbor kids, when I take my kitty for a walk.

I had a friend at work who had a rabbit that was house trained. She lived in a flat.

I learned a new word! Zymotic

Zymotic Zy*mot"ic, a. [Gr. ? causing to ferment, fr. ? to ferment, ? ferment, leaven.]

1. Of, pertaining to, or caused by, fermentation.

2. (Med.) Designating, or pertaining to, a certain class of diseases. See Zymotic disease, below.

Zymotic disease (Med.), any epidemic, endemic, contagious, or sporadic affection which is produced by some morbific principle or organism acting on the system like a ferment.

They are trainable, they will come to you and let you feed them. Warning though Im sure you know, they poop.

A lot.

Im not sure I can stress enough how much.

Enormous emounts of poop seems inadequate.

Ill try and think of a fitting description.

:wah: You are so descriptive, dear Nomad.

All of the bunnies are house trained already, so I am not too worried about that. The bunny I picked was a Katrina baby, there are still a few of those bunnies in the recue shelters here.

ALOHA!!

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"
