I was reading, being as it's the weekend, and briefly talking with a daughter.

By all means stimulate me, if you're inclined.

Hi Theia.

The time difference between US, UK and Australia can be frustrating. In reality, there's only a few hours when we are all awake at the same time.....what are you doing today ? I've got a bit of shopping to do and I really should do some hoovering and ironing !

It's nice that you are able to see Betty...how far away from you does she live ?

I came for a short break in Cornwall a couple of years ago and stayed near the Lost Gardens of Heligan. I'm planning to take a longer holiday there sometime this year. xx

It is on a Sunday. It kinda makes me feel uncomfortable when I see lots of Uncle Krams in the last post column of todays posts.

It's like I'm talking to myself. No change there then.

I'm pottering today, Bez. Like you, bit of ironing and hoovering. One of my kids plus partner might pop in for an hour...

Betty is only about 16 miles away and she is often over this way and calls in. It's so funny because we call each other by our forum names. She will always be Betty to me and I shall always be theia.

Oh, if you do come down here, Bez, let Betty and me know and we'll meet up. If I'm still in my cottage then you would be more than welcome to stay with me.

Here on the south coast, it's 'coldish' but we haven't seen more that a flurry of snow all winter. It's very dry though...water shortage goes on and on.

I'm pleased she's so close....

My son is getting married in June and although I've got a nice cream 2 piece suit to wear, i am agonising over the dreaded hat. i bought a 'facinator'...one of those feathery things, but now I'm having doubts and the last 3 weekends have been spent looking for something suitable.

That's really kind of you to offer me somewhere to stay. xxx

I had to google facinator...I'm way behind when it comes to fashion. They are fantastic, Bez. Please don't look for something "suitable" You'll look great in the feathers...go for it :-6

I didn't know you were a Lancashire Lass Abbey, which part are you from? My aunt used to live in Warrington, but she lives in Manchester now.

It's amazing that we have a water shortage........considering it's rained all week!!!

Although interestingly...(bit of dull trivia for you)...of all the worlds water only 3% is pure water ~ the rest being saline sea water. And of that 3%, only 3% is drinkable water ~ the rest being frozen into ice water at the poles. And as water is constantly being recycled it is estimated that the water you drink or wash in today has also been drunk and washed in by...Kings & Queens, the ancient Egyptians, the mayans, the Romans, people af every race and nationality down through the ages.....including Nomad last week ;) :D

I forget what they're called exactly but its two smaller rollers on one handle.

The paint tray has two seperate compartments.

You put two different colors that compliment eachother in the tray and when you roll it on it blends. Roll one way you get one effect roll another way another effect. I did a bathroom like this and it turned out exceptional.

Course I got that at Home Depot...guess you dont have Home Depot do ya ? Didnt think so. :p

So, excuse the American, but I take it 'facinators' are just those little frilly type things usually made of feathers and such?
