Theia knew not until a couple of weeks ago when her daughter rang her excitedly from Asda saying "Mum, they're stocking those American cup things that you're addicted to."

"No!." said theia, in disbelief

But Nomad, I think they had only just started stocking them down here in the depths of Cornwall, as my daughter shops there every week and hadn't seen them before.

But I don't have to buy any at the moment. I'm still munching my way through a huge pile sent to me by two lovely American friends.

I'm still dancing! My cheeks are ACHING from all the smiling and giggling!

But I have been paying taxes (including council tax) for two years now! Ever since I was allowed to start working. As for the NHS..........LOL!! I work for the NHS! :wah: And I'm still not sure I would let them touch me with a ten foot pole! But I DO have a very english GP! Nice chap he is too!

No. It's just the British government saying I'm welcome to stay, work and play amongst you freely for as long as I like. (as long as I'm a good girl!) I'm still an American citizen. When my current passport expires they will remove the page my visa is on and reinsert it in the new passport. The visa doesnt expire. It's good for my lifetime.:-6

I didnt come from Birmingham! LOL! I dont know where he got that! The closest I ever lived to birmingham was Norfolk Virginia!:wah:

They dont know what grits are, and their idea of a biscuit is a bit different from ours!

God tell me about it, everything over here takes so long it seems when it comes to waiting for papers to reach the desk. When I was waiting to claim for my job seekers allowance, it was supposed to take less than 2 weeks for the claim to be seen to, but it took well over a month and a half for it to pass through. :-5
