for the first time since we've lived here, I saw a turkey strut through our backyard............... It was a really BIG bird!

We had pet turkeys a few years ago...but alas...they always wanted to "cross the road" and we no longer have them with us. I miss hearing them gobble and seeing them prance around the yard.

We do see wild turkeys out in the field once and awhile.

Turkeys could have been our national bird instead of the eagle.

Sojo, have you ever had wild turkey? It has such a great flavor, but they are one of the toughest game birds to hunt. If you get the chance, try wild turkey!!!!
