Goofy Michigan weather

Today, in freakin' March of all times, we hit 69 degrees F. Tomorrow and the rest of the week, we will not get over 37 degrees. If my bike was not in several pieces, I could have ridden today. :-5 :-5 :-5 :-5

Ugh I'm sorry BR. We had a real nice weekend a few weeks back and wanted to ride, however Dave has yet to fix his faring. Just a few more weeks and you'll be able to ride all ya want. :-6

BR,

Guess what? It was snowing here about an hour ago! It's mid-March and we are cold! Beep and I were in Wallace, Idaho on Saturday. Check out this photo. Does it look like Springtime to you? :wah:

What's up with your faring?

I know it's coming soon, but damn, it feels like years since I've been on my bike. Serious withdrawals happening around here. And poor Bullet won't be able to ride even when the weather does break because of his surgery.

I suppose I'll feel the teeniest bit of guilt waving to him from my bike while he watches me zoom off down the street on 1 wheel.

It's pretty cool and the real McCoy. It's the "Silver Capital of the World," with over 1.1 billion ounces of silver produced in Shoshone county since 1884.

Wallace is also known for the fact that every downtown building is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Maybe I should post more photos in the photo section?

Used to - on asphalt. Now I ride exclusively off-road. We've got more off-road trails than paved highways in Idaho - as a matter of fact, an astounding 9,000 miles of trails.

The biggest thrill I've had lately was when my son and I rode into "Horse Heaven."

This was my personal Twilight Zone episode. Horse Heaven has been forgotten by the outside world. Forgotten by almost everyone except the natives of Northern Idaho.

It was an airfield built (hidden deep within the Coeur d' Alene Mountains) during World War II to be a place where the Army/Air Corp. was going to hide our fighters and bombers from the Japanese if we were attacked on the West Coast.

Check out these satellite photos of the area. Can you find the airfield?
