Monday the 13th

Oh gee I never have rotten luck on Friday's the 13th.

Yesterday is was truly embarassing my rotten luck, or call it my ADHD...oh look shoes!

On my way to my daughters we saw a cop pulling radar going the other way, I looked over at my youngest and said oooo we better remember he is there when we go home. We visited my oldest for only 40 minutes and went home and bedamned if we didn't forget about the speedtrap because we were busy yapping away and got caught. I got a nice hefty fine and 2 demerits and felt as stupid as could be.

How do things just escape ones mind so easily

Good thing I can laugh at myself.

Unlucky there Minks. We have one road near us that is notorious for car accidents and is the reason why they have about a million speed cameras all along the same road with plenty of warnings regarding it all. Must be one heck of a fine if u got caught by all of them I bet!!

bad bad Minks :yh_rotfl ..one of these days Bothwell is going to get it too, he calls me on his mobile while driving, which is seriously illegal over there. i am just waiting to hear the siren! LOL

here is what is horrible too, I have had my new car since sept of last year and this is ticket number 2, before that in my 30 years of driving.... only 1 speeding ticket eeeeeek.

Well I have the option to plead my case infront of a crown prosecuter no sorry someone lower and either get my fine reduced or have them not take demerits I dunno which to ask for. I may go for the reduced fine they will likely knock 40% of the fine off. Crap it means time off work... again sheesh. Duh-me

go to court. 85% of the time the officer doesn't show up. and you may win by default. worst case, you pay the ticket.

yeah there is that option as well, ya know what kills me, the cop was incredibly nice of course and asked if I was in a hurry and of couse I can't lie and say something like yeah the kid here has internal bleeding we are on our way to emerg. So I just say no. And after all is said and done he hands you the ticket... do you say thank you? Ahahahaha well I did not cause I really didn't feel thankful at the time. Don't get me wrong I am always polite but who ever thanks a cop for a ticket, as well, it was an absolute conscious effort for me to not say thank you, I say thank you all the time ahahahaha

the speed limit ALL the time... then you never have to worry!! About

radar guns or your insurance going up or anything!!

Drove 21 years, got a ticket (worked very late, rushing home to give my

dog meds... no excuse... if I'd done the speed limit then, too, it would

have taken LESS time!) and that was 16 years ago. So you see, being

lawful DOES pay!!

Oh I know it the time you waste getting a ticket is sooooo NOT worth it sheesh but stupid really and you are right no excuse.

I got caught twice in 11 months.....after 34 years driving with a clean license. 1 was a GATSO (permanent camera) and 1 was a roadside Police van.....sneeky....Pay the fine Minksy....we can't have anything stopping you leaving the country.

No worries there Bez, the fine will get paid I wouldn't dream of letting it go unpaid. I will go stand inline to plead my case and hope for some kind of break in front of the crown but by end of April it will be cleared hehehe

Me to Bez one was a photo radar the other a live cop. Here we do not loose merit points if it is photo but if it is a live guy yeah I loose points grrrrr.
