Road RAGE!!!

Post by Jives »

Okay I was coming home on the freeway, and suddenly a gallon of milk flies past my window. I changed lanes and to my surprise I saw two cars, racing and battling each other. The lead car was tossing out groceries (cans, milk, and other objects) trying to "torpedo" the car behind. Sure scared the heck out of me!

Anybody ever involved in a "road rage" incident? :(

A gallon of milk at 65 mph would have the impact of a bowling ball. It would have come right through my windshield and taken my head off! People are idiots sometimes.:-2

ooo ok cool here is my story very harmless really

I was driving a road I knew very well and in the passengers seat was my bro. I knew the dual lane would reduce to a single left lane ahead so scooted left. Meanwhile this idiot beside me doesn't move over till the last minute, I fingered him as he cut me off and I thought my brother was going to lay an egg. He sqwaked at me for blocks, heck I was having my own internal road rage right in my car. He kept yelling "they will punch me out, they won't hit a girl, what were you thinking I am so dead blah blah blah", finally I told him...."I won't stop so how can they punch you out" OMG he all but told on me like a 2 year old. Sheesh and we were in our 20's at the time.

Ha! In L.A. where I live, it isn't gallons of milk and groceries, it's guns being fired through windows. Here in L.A. you are lucky if someone only yells at you.:lips:

Sticking you fingers up at somebody, especially a solitary middle finger might not be considered as obscene or even grossly offensive, but it does strike me as something cheap and nasty - I personally don't like seeing it, and nothing puts me off more, than when I comes from a woman! Abusive language from a woman? Not very nice, but the F-word and cheap Continental hand gestures from the female gender - not thank you!

I have 200ft of hose on the trailer so it worked out fine for me... but the guy was so afraid to face me he left his car there for the whole evening!:wah:

Men can be such jerks once they're behind the wheel! They go doolally and they know a girl alone will be scared. It makes them feel big! They're total losers! (I won't upset Frederick with the profanities I was going to use! ;) )

Hope you've recovered from that ordeal Abbey! Hugs. :yh_hugs

Feel free to use whatever profanity you like - as an ex-HGV driver I've seen and heard it all! Though isn't it strange the people who are most exposed to it - coach drivers, bus drivers, cabbies etc. tend to be the ones who use it least. In London people cut one another up all the time - thinks...if only I could sue them for deformation of character!!! LOL Goodnight.

AAAAAhhh, finally some thing for me too comment on.

I live near two big casinos and highway near me is one the main routs too them and i often run across some real winners sometimes at all hours of day and night.Casino trash is terrible when they are the road.I have seen cars full too the top with about 10 or 12 people in it.And these nut jobs are a moving danger.I think road rage is OK if it is justifiable. One of my pet peeves is tail gaiters,I hate that.I drive a jeep and i often have my top off and i throw things like my ice coffee or trash at them too back them off,if my top is down I like too run my wipers and soak them.Or find a car too pass and even up with it and sit there as long as i can.

Another cool thing too do is go too your junk yard and pick up a used windshield wiper tank and motor and wire it in under your vehicle and fill it with brake fluid or anti freeze and when you have a tail gaiter you can pump this out at them, this seems too work good. When I rode my fatboys I used too hate when people threw there butts out the window with me behind them, that deserves a knock on the window and a stern warning, show me your finger and I will bust your window open.Pulling out in front of me Is also grounds for confrontation. If you drive stupid you will be treated stupid.

when i taught my son how to drive down here i stressed two things...1. be aware of the elderly who are deaf and blind and have no reflexes, it's a serious problem. and 2. do not even make eye contact with idiots, nevermind gestures or brake-jobs or tailgating or contests of any kind.....or you may get a bullet.... neither of those items are things i am joking about.

Schweet has a point, I hate tailgaters too. My trick is to turn on my headlights, they think I'm hitting the brakes.

And much as I don't like to see Frederick malign the feminine gender, I have to agree that it disturbs me a little to see the "fairer sex" acting up like that.

I mean, it's destroying all my pre-conceived notions of womanhood!:-2

how does a tailgater see your headlights? i know that giving a brake-job causes accidents. i used to tap my brake lights at them, i don't anymore, i just move over and let the morons pass. then i laugh when i see FHP has their sorry butt a few miles later. when it's really bad, and i'm in my personal car, i will pull up next to them and flash my badge, they assume i have a radio and slow down.

Oh...when the headlights come on, so do the tail lights. But you don't slow down, so there's not as much danger. ( he told himself.):-3

I spent last Sunday with an old friend who only joined the Police 3 years ago. That's exactly what he said. Not every psychopath is banged up. They may be in the car in front
