Shame that the live coverage starts during the late hours of the evening. As much as I would love to watch it, it's on far too late for me, and most likely most of us Brits.

Snap! I've just watched the opening ceremonies too. I didn't realise how many countries and islands were in H.M. Commonwealth!

The costumes were superb, the dream sequence was unusual but wonderful and I'm so glad they included a lot of their native heritage within the ceremony. The pyrotechnics throughout were fab! I am SO going to see the Opening Ceremonies in London now, for the 2012 Olympics!

Well let's just hope that we put on a fantastic show like that for the world come 2012. Let's just hope that the builders of all these new stadiums and arenas don't do a Wembley!!

When the games were in Manchester I went to the open ceremony it was chaos as Manchester came to a stand still.

I dread to think how much the toll will be in 2012 ken will be in his element

Anyone been keeping up on the Commonwealth games at all. I've seen most of the highlights, and I'm very impressed. Have to admit you have to be amazed how well Scotland are doing, who would of guessed hahaha. :p
