He liked quite a few of them, and yes, I believe he is close to

picking a new one. He attended his first Liberty Riders meeting last night and they told him, jokingly, "You better come up with something quick!!" They're just chomping at the bit to name him themselves, but no one has come up with anything yet.

If you were told to fire someone and you felt it an unjust firing how would you handle that?

Oooh. Another toughie. I would speak to MY boss, privately of course, and determine the reason for the firing. If I still felt it was unfair, I would argue for the employee. If the boss still insisted I fire the person, I would fire them, very apologetically, making certain the person knew it was not the way I would have handled things.

If I was SEVERELY p!$$ed about the injustice, I may tell the boss to do his/her own dirty work and fire the person themselves. It would depend on how strong my own case and my security in my job.

No, we consider them potential organ donors.

Being a real biker is not about the type of bike you ride. It's a life. It's not the weekend warriors, it's not the guys who buy $45,000 Harley's and brag about their low mileage, it's living your life a certain way. True bikers are born, not made.

How true is that, my OM used to drive a R1( before it got nicked ) used to scare the living daylights out of me .

I don't know if you can consider this a true fist-fight, but it's the last time I used violence on someone. (Other than work-related crap)

Easter Sunday about 3 years ago the family is gathered at my mom's. We have a large screened porch at the back of the house where we gather for these things and that's where we were. After a while, I noticed the absence of my mom, my sister, and her husband. I strolled through the house to see what they were up to. I got to the front door to see my sister on her hands and knees on the front porch, crying, like she'd just been knocked there, and looked out into the yard to see my BIL with the front of my mom's shirt in his fist and his shoe raised above his head like he was going to hit her with it. Ya know how they say "seeing red"?? It's true. Everything went red and I flew out the door, hurdled my sister, dropped a shoulder and drove into the BIL's stomach, knocking him about 10 feet, onto his ass. He got up and came for me and I flew at him, totally mindless, fists flying.

Apparently, before I flew out the door, I hollered for my boyfriend (I don't remember doing that) and that's when he showed up and grabbed me off the BIL. I was kicking and screaming and begging him to hit me back. I totally embarrassed my mother with the language I was using at him, (she lives in a very nice neighborhood) and I was going off on this prick. I wanted to hurt him worse than I had, and it took my BF and my step-dad to keep me away from him. He took off down the street and walked home. It took me hours to calm down and ever since then the piece of sh!t was scared of me. They are divorced now, thank god, and he is living with another man.

I'd have to say I won that one.

Depends on the child. They can be a great introduction to riding a real bike, or they can be a recipe for disaster. That would be a case-by-case scenario.

Minks...when a guest gets unruly in my work, they are usually drunk, and unpredicatable. A firm but friendly "This is the way to the door" usually works. If that doesn't a threat to call the police usually does. If that doesn't, there are always many regulars in the bar to escort the idiot out, if I can't do it on my own, which I usually can, strictly by intimidation. When they see a 5'6" 125 pound girl, getting in their face, unafraid, it occurs to them that I'm crazy enough to take them on.

It rarely comes to physical violence, but it has happened.

When are you going to start a cocktail thread to go alongside Clippers coffee shop and Bothwells pub? Can you list ingredients and method and show us a picture? perhaps you could get a couple of bottles and list all the different cocktails you can make from one or two basic bottles, then we can have weekend cocktail parties without having to buy tons of booze! Whaddaya think?

I tried a thread like this a while back, Rapunzel. Sort of a "Stump the bartender" thing. Only Valerie came up with a drink I hadn't heard of and didn't know how to make.

If members see this and are interested, I'd be happy to share recipes and techniques.

Anything specific you want to know?

Believe it or not, I met him in the very bar I work in. Yes, it's true, you can meet a good guy in a bar.

I have been around bikers my entire bartending career, but Bullet is who actually introduced me to the life.
