Greetings and whatnot. I joined here to show some students how a forum works (I'm a library worker, not a teacher, but anyways). The class ended up cancelled, but at least I found a nifty forum! :D

Lessee, I'm 27, Australian and if you take my coffee away I may have to get slightly cranky in a painful way...

So hi!

Welcome to ForumGarden, ZiggyQ. I hope you enjoy browsing, and that you'll join in - the more opinions we get here, the more interesting the place becomes. Where in Australia are you - there's a few other Aussies around, I expect they'll drop into this thread as well in a while.

Pam, this has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. In a few years, when things settle down financially for us, I will be saving for a trip there. I may be 50 before I get there, but get there I will.

Know what else is cool about having a bunch of Aussies here now? You guys are all up and here when I get home from work at 3 am!! :yh_bigsmi

Grin. Yes BR. The ForumGarden is really neat. The Brit/European contingent comes in round now too, and the Aussie and New Zealanders slot in between. Great economical use of cyberspace, so to speak. And it means someone is always around to keep the coffee hot, the newbies fed, the home fires burning and the basta$#s honest.

Keep hold of that dream. I think you'd fit in perfectly here.

Are you still around Ziggy?? There;s a cold tinnie with your name on it Sport, in Bothwell's bar.

Pam, sometimes I think that newbies don't expect much very quickly from their intro posts. They don't know how glad we are to see new faces, and how quick we are to welcome them. Maybe Ziggy will be back soon to see that we love seeing new members....

WHERE, may I inquire, in a civilized world, do they not have coffee??!?!? That is a sin against mankind, and, and....really really bad!!! Tell me where, (if you can) so I know what part of the planet to avoid like the plague!!!! :yh_rotfl

The "civilised world" is not that easy to define, BR.:yh_laugh (In this case, it's just a health spa thingie my sister is dragging me off to for girl talk, bonding, and a good massage). But not all coffees are created equal. Of course if it really comes down to it, I'll suck down anything containing caffeine, but gimme a good dark Italian preferably with balls (and I'm talking about coffee here) to put hairs on me chest and a smile on me early morning face.

(This place doesn't allow booze either, but hey, there's a pub downtown er so I'm told ... only a mile or two away.. and they do good red wine er I'm told)
