For some reason my school lunch box popped into my head

I had the Rat Patrol lunch box.

Do you remember retro stuff from your earlier years ?

Most of the time I can get parts pretty easy. It stuff like replacment seat belts and interior items that I have to special order.. !!

I lived in Fl for a few yrs and when I moved back home I took a stroll through my elementary school. Nothing had changed. Its amazing the things you remember sometimes.

I used to have an Action Man that I was really into. I loved the Mountie outfit and the Astronaut, but it was always an ordeal putting his Cricket jumper on.

However, the MOST disturbing thing about this figure was that his name was Rodney. I named him after Ryan O'Neals character, Rodney Harrington in Peyton Place

Talking of school days....we had scratchy pens and ink wells in little recesses in the desk....just after the chalk and black slate age..

Oddly enough this troubles me as well unc.

I never heard of a 'rich kid' action man Unc....bet he didn't get his clothes dirty very often !

I'm off to buy a bike with my bingo winnings in a minute....18 + gears on a road bike....scary... only had 3 on the last bike I had in the 1980s

A bit like Lady Chatterleys Lover and the Karma Sutra...we used to cover the books in plain paper so no one would know what we were reading....specially the parents...

Looked everywhere for tassles Unc....no luck...I have bought some groovy (?) fluorescent armbands though...and some cycle clips (hehehehe) Halfords will put it together and I'm picking it up on Tuesday...can't wait to get out and 'test my nerve'.

You can get little neon lights now to clip onto your spokes too!

We used old playing cards with clothes pins to put them on the spokes of our bike tires, to make them sound cool!

Lol! Ebay sell them for about a fiver Bez, plus p&p. But you should also be able to get them in any car/bike shop too! :-6

Believe it or not Chonsi they still make these....wicker or a more modern metal version....think I'll go for the carrier that goes on the back.

Basket on the front reminds me of a Miss Marples type character.
