Washington Amber Alert.

The AMBER Alert System began in 1996 when Dallas-Fort Worth broadcasters teamed with local police to develop an early warning system to help find abducted children. AMBER stands for America's Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response and was created as a legacy to 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, who was kidnaped while riding her bicycle in Arlington, Texas, and then brutally murdered. Other states and communities soon set up their own AMBER plans as the idea was adopted across the nation.

Washington Amber Alert.

I never leave my children unattended. I sit outside with them when they playing, and make sure they do not go past our driveway. Luckily we live at the end of a dead end street and don't get much traffic so they can ride in the road. When I go to the gas station I usually take one with me and they automatically go in with me to pay for whatever it is I'm there for. My oldest son who is 10 is always asking if he can stay home by himself, I always say no. I can't imagine life without my kids. If something happened to either one of them I'd either die or go completely nuts and be committed. I see lots of parents leave their child or children in the vehicle while in the building and it scares me. I worry for the child. I have seen children of various ages left in a running vehicle while the parent runs into Walmart. Does that make them a bad parent? In my eyes, yes it does.
