Anti mothers day thread

i dont mean to sound horrible as i will have a lovely day with my daughters on mothers day but i do come from a mother who lets say (has no idea of what being a mother is) & so to some extent its a horrible day as much as its a good day

i also have several friends who try as they may cannot concieve & a few more who would dearly love to find a partner & start a family & one or two with a deceased mum

mothers day raises many issues for many people & i thought it might be a nice idea to have a thread where all us misfits in a way could congregate & support each other

so to all my sisters & brothers out there with mixed feelings

your Mother's day is different than ours over here. i need to tell Bothwell to wish his Mum a good one for me.she is not well. as for me...i wish i still had my Mother. you're not a misfit. not everyone has had a perfect life. (((HUG)))):yh_flower :yh_flower :yh_flower

you have no alternative but to be when you are in the position you are lc but at the end of the day my sweet your just a girl who misses her mum & needs a hug

My mom kinda sucked too Scot girl. Shes gone now and I still get a twinge on Mothers Day but all in all life is easier without her.

My cousin is finidng oout the sex of her baby around Mother's Day! What a great gift. I still have my mother and love her very mush, but I loooonnnnnggggg to be a mother so its good and bad for me too.

Yup, mine too! She's not gone, but she's a crap mother!

But she hasn't spoken to me in a year,

not since she called me a Vindictive Bitch!

Isn't she sweet??? :p

Still, this year's been a lot nicer without her constant complaints and criticisms!

I have spent years and hundreds and hundreds of pounds running around after her, buying things for her, doing anything she asked, all to be accepted & 'wanted' as a daughter!

I've finally realised that she just doesn't give a sh1t!

Now we ignore each other and life is much calmer and less fraught with tension!

And its made me a much better mother than she ever was!

I have a fab poem for you Buttercup, but I need someone to tell me how to do a thumbnail as its WAAAAAAAYYY too huge to post!!
