My Saturday Evening

Not trying to show my age, but.....

I live in the boonies - I mean the nearest traffic light (and only 1) is 10 miles away - nearest Wal Mart is 30 miles. I am, however, very lucky to have high speed internet.

So, it's Saturday evening - in my computer room, I am running back and forth between 4 of my favorite forms, emailing back and forth between a couple friends. My wife is in her glory on ebay. XM radio streaming (ch 26 The Eye) on my 5.1 speaker system, all while on my 8th beer (more to come).

I just asked my wife (sitting at the other end of the 26' of desk - "you OK?" A smile, and "get me another beer when you go downstairs again"....

Life is good here in the boonies...

Recluse? YES

Happy? YES

[disclaimer] I have a photo of my computer room to add to this post, but I am not allowed yet I guess.

Hey Snowman your and the Mrs. will fit in real nice here in the Garden, Welcome..!!Love the computer room, you need a flat panel monitor say about 22in much easier on the eyes...

Yes, I am quote myself for a reason -

7 days later, it is Saturday afternoon/evening again - I must be a creature of habit for sure!

All the same except I'm listening to Big Tracks (ch 49) - Don Henley playing right now.

Earlier I helped out my retired neighbors who both have the flu - they needed the oil changed on their new VW Touareg so I did it for them no charge. I'm not usually the neighborly type, but these folks have been great to us - felt good to help them out.

Anyway, here we are again - same place, same time - enjoying what we like to do.
