Not a bad film, starts out a bit of a boob fest so all you pervs out there will like it .Only gets gory towards the end then quite gross - i enjoyed it if you dont like blood and gore steer clear - Hostel 9/10

My theory is that the 21st century Zeitgeist wants to attract fewer American tourists abroad. That explains both the Iraq war and this film.

My other theory is that someone wanted to see how bad a review they could generate at http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/m ... l2006.html - "Moral Rating: Extremely Offensive"

Oh poo. You're just trying to demolish my self-confidence. I might never post again.

I looked originally for a review on http://www.landoverbaptist.org/movies.html but they've not steeled themselves for the ordeal yet.

To be honest, I paused the playback with 46 minutes still to run, it got too scary for me.

I'll come clean - you mentioned Hostel so I downloaded a copy, since I've no other way to view it. It turned out to be better plotted and more finished than I'd anticipated. The other film under discussion this week here - Wolf Creek - was stunningly well made, I thought that was well worth the effort put into producing it.

Well your just a bad bad boy - Wolf creek havent seen it yet if you think its a good movie i will try to watch it - thanks for the tip.

...did you see the bit where he cut's the kids ankles and the kid trys to walk . Great movie ive seen it about 6 time's .

I still think those reviews are a magnet...

"This was the most obscene and appalling movie I've ever seen! It made me want to throw up! The torture was gruesome, and the nudity content as a Christian was honestly disturbing. If there's one thing I could take back doing in my life, seeing that movie would be it!"

"I didn't watch the whole movie because it was to gruesome and gross, also the nudity was very immoral. I wouldn't recommend going unless you want to be sick to your stomach."

There's nothing like a little Christian Backlash to add allure to a movie.

I'm a huge fan of horror flicks and usually a fan of QT movies but this one just bored the hell out of me.

Looks like they made a poor attempt to just shock people with images of bodies everywhere and the eye thing and if that didn't work then add some Ta Ta's. Truthfully when I heard this film had a ton of nudity in it I was kinda shocked at the lack there of. See more skin on Skinemax films people.

Acting wasn't good and just about nodded off several times throughout the film.

Maybe it's just me and I'm getting immune to gore because of the imagination of my own bloody thoughts, dunno. Scored it a 4 out of ten at IMDB and not because of gore/nudity but boredom.
