Ideas for Costumes

Post by DesignerGal »

I need an idea for 2 costumes. My husband and I are going to a party that has a theme. The theme is we have to dress up as any public figure (political, celebrity, athletes) between the George Washington years and JFK years. Any ideas?

Please dont say Marylin Monroe (there will be 1300 of those) or Jackie O (which is my idol and there will be 800 of those) or Joe DiMaggio (1400 of those).

Thanks alot guys! I know I will get some good ones from you guys!

I need 1 female and 1 male costume.

George Burns and Gracie Allen. The costumes would be very easy- Blonde wig and 50's dress for her and cigar for him. But the most important part of it would be to rehearse and perform one of Burns and Allens' zany routines. You'll have people rolling on the floor.
Look what the cat dragged in.

Don't forget the big round thick black-framed glasses for George!

It doesnt have to be a couple. Last year we went as Popeye and Gargamel, the theme was villians or superheroes.
