Cool Lon! and how many more do you hope to visit? some do not interest me at all. but there are a few more I want to do.

I had a trip to egypt booked with a nile cruise a few years ago and then my plans got all switched around and we went on a Med Cruise instead, but I promised my daughter we will go to the pyramids together one day.

Very nice, but my husband doesn't like to travel. We did in our younger days. He feels a cruise is a floating convelesant home, he hates planes and people. Talk about compulsive, he wants to drive to places now since 911. Food and places to stay have to be clean or we leave. My man is very meticulous, about everything. So, guess what, we aren't going anywhere, any time soon. :driving:

Paula, my husband it like that too... he has no ambition to travel and because I was a travel agent and want to go places there was only one solution for us - I ditch him. He is happy to stay home and look after the animals and he does not mind me going away.

He does go golfing with the guys for a week in florida every year ~ and I look after the business and home while he is doing that... we have a good relationship that way. I would hate to travel with him, he hates lines, touristy things, he is a smoker so can't handle non smoking hotels, planes, etc... and he can't sit still to lie on a beach - he needs to be doing something!!

I suggest that while you are in good health, you ditch your hubby for a week or so once in a while and see some sights.

Like you, I'm just not interested in some of them. This April we will be in Thailand for two weeks and this coming November we will be sailing on the "Windstar" from Barbados to San Juan Costa Rica via the Panama Canal. I would like to see Delphi and visit some other Greek Islands, perhaps in 2006.

Only THREE... I'm sad to say. Yellowstone, Yosemite, and the San Francisco

Bay.

I've been to all of the California stuff, though, like all of the missions and

where gold was discovered. My family always did a vacation every summer.

Got to where I didn't want to go back then, but now I'm glad I did.

Also got to go to Calgary Stampede. D.C. a few years ago to see Kennedy's

grave, inaugural gowns, Dorothy's ruby slippers and the Hope Diamond.

(Hope Bullet doesn't read this!) ;)

I would like to see some tamer things, although stuff on that list is neat

(Valley of the Kings!!) but I'd like to do stuff like see some Southern

Mansions, (maybe close enough to Florida to take a side trip to meet

LC now wouldn't THAT be fun!!) and I'd dearly love to see the Kentucky

Derby.

Don't want much, now do I?

Only 3 for me...If I could only see one more it would be the Ngorongoro Crater.

Out of your 18, Cass, what was your favorite?

Uhhhh.... hmmm.. hard question... I thought the galapagos were incredible, but Florence is such a historical city... I think anywhere I have gone I have been blessed to be able to do so... I do recall having some 'pinch me to see if I am really here' moments in Neuschwanstein(Germany) it is the fairytale looking castle you might have seen in movies or television.

I hated stonehenge!

(And is it just me, or did everyone's signature lines shrink???)

It was cold and rainy on the salisbury plain, damp and miserable ~ I wanted to stay in London and go shopping!!! but my ex husband dragged me off to druid-world.

It was a bunch of rocks and I felt nothing when I looked at them, everyone was ohhh-ing and awww-ing and I was looking at my watch. Finally I went to go wait inthe car at least I could listen to music and get out of the rain.

Years later I went again, but it was a sunny, hot day and I sat in the car with the air on LOL

Hey if stonehenge is 2? what is 1? please dont say niagra falls - I live 45 minutes from there and hate it too.

14 for me. I think Macchu Picchu was the most exciting, but each of them has its own appeal. I really like Africa, so the time spent there is like a dream sometmes. We have a trip planned in the fall that may get me a couple more in Europe. Cant wait

Cass, please define (or advise where I can find) some of the 100 wonders, so I'll know the ones I have missed so far.

I believe I may have seen about 11 or 12, but really not sure if they are any of the ones you are referring to!

Dear Cass,

I find this comment offensive, I did not think this site was allowing bad language. What do the moderators have to say please.

Kind regards

World's top 100 wonders

Sorry Cass, I didn't realize that was the link first time. So now after seeing the list I was wrong, I originally thought I saw 11 or 12 wonders, but now I only saw 5. #'s 42, 82, 83, 87, 98. (and #3 if you count the one in Atlantic City, ha-ha)

I've been to 5, and amazingly, the Grand Canyon and Carlsbad, are near my home!

Hey! What's up with Mesa Verde not being on there? Those Anasazi ruins are better than lots of that other stuff!
