....until LC agrees to change that damn spider in her sig line. My very own good friend, and she puts that creepy, nasty unnatural freak in her sig line. KNOWING my deathly, irrational, but totally real fear of spiders!! Shame, SHAME, LC!! I can't read any more of your stuff till that thing is GONE!!! :p

Listen, I've blasted enough holes in my walls and floors and ceilings trying to get my point across to spiders that they are NOT welcome in my home!! I'm going through more boxes of shells for the Mossberg than I can afford....I almost shot my computer!!!

It might!! I'm thinking of what else I could add to it. Sheryl made the picture with my name in it, Nomad made the "Live to Ride" pic, and the rest of the stuff is stuff I believe in very deeply. I couldn't bear to part with any of it...

When I went to bed it was a shark....missed the spider ( thank goodness)....I don't mind SCARY as long as 'it' doesn't have more that 4 legs....so what's next LC ?

Holy Hanna girl sorry to hear about the dreadful dislike to spiders. You would hate it here as when the weather gets cold the spiders all run inside peoples houses, I live with them daily. Mind you my girls eldsest especially was terrified of them hehehehehe Ahhhhh welll I am just glad you arent leaving over silly spiders.

you are kidding me, OMG biggest spider I have ever been up close to was a tarantula, cool saucer size. Do they run fast and hide from you. Goodness it would be a huge effort to step on them. WOW I find spiders kinda facinating.

we have a Goliath Bird eater (Theraphosa leblondi) a very handsome tarantular when fully grown she'll be about the size of a dinner plate .Later when the sprog come's home i'll get her to post a piccy.........that'll show the men from the boy's.

Anyway, many years ago I lived in a rural wooded area on Long Island, and was bitten on the forearm during the night while I was asleep by a "Brown Recluse" spider. I saw the bite mark when I woke, it looked a little red, so I put some alcohol on the bite mark & went to work. Luckily for me, I wore a "short sleeve" shirt (usually wore long sleeves) to work that day, cause one of my collegues saw the bite on my forarm. At this point the "red bite area" was larger than the size of a half dollar, with a "red' line going up the vein in my arm towards my heart. He cleaned out the bite thoroughly-picking at it with tweezers, & then gave me a shot of hemogloblin, & that's when he told me that he suspected the bite was from a Brown Recluse spider.

I too once had an irrational fear of spider's.. so i decided to do something about it, and i did ..i bought one and once i'd done my reserch and began learning about the species ( like most people i had never even touched one) i gradually began to like them..... now i love them and some are really pretty like the Pink Toe which has bright pink toes . I do understand why most people hate spiders i don't like the little fast one's that run really quickly but to me it's the same as owning snake's somebody has to love them. I do draw the line at bug's and cockroach's i could'nt keep them for love nor money .

Gosh you gave me a fright too, BR. Haven't had time to read the whole thread.. grin... I'm only just back from the mountains. Haven't seen LC yet, so haven't been freaked out by her spidee... What else have I missed?? Anyway great to be back.

Hey, Amie...no need to be a smart ass, and no need to announce to the world that my sig offends you. An adult would have just turned off the sig views and not felt compelled to mention it to everyone.

So sorry you don't like it, no one else has ever had a problem with anyone else's sig. Your prerogative of course, to turn it off, Just like it's mine to put what I choose there, but I'll tell you, your smart mouth is unneccessary.

I don't mind spiders at all. Regularly I have to get them out of my bathtub. They range from microscopic to huge and hairy. The small ones are the hardest and the thickest.

I spend several minutes trying to get them out of my bathtub. The small ones run for dear life once they see my hand coming up behind them (just like women do:D :-4 ). The big ones are a bit more macho and just stand their ground. They let their legs fold in as I push in on them (just like women do:D :-4 ).

Eventually, they all get the idea and put out a leg on my hand so I can slide them up the side of the bathtub.

Then I have to evict them from my flat because they don't earn their keep by catching flies ('cos I don't get any).

Every day I have to do this. Every day I do a deal with them. Every day I have to evict them for not paying their 'rent'.

Never trust a spider, especially the huntsman.

And the comment about the self-portrait to Rozz? How should all us uptight folk take that one?
