Rules of the Universe

Post by weeder »

Its no secret... I havent been a happy camper since arriving back in Virginia. Major problems with my son....A horrible new job.... which created financial stress.... that finally festered into a major depression. All of a sudden. life is turning around. The phone is ringing. Messages are coming in on my computer.. Ive done some landscape consulting... and have gotten paid for it:) I am going to England, and the greatest thing... my son really seems to be straightening out. I sat here eating lunch and had a flash... When did things start turning around???? It started last week when we all joined together to rally around mominiowa.

Once again, the rules of the universe prove themselves to be true. Align yourself with good people and good things... and good happens in your own life. You also tend to forget about your own problems. Like that movie " Play it forward" Good begets good. Kind begets kind. Forgiveness begets forgiveness. I dont want everyone to write back... Good for you weeder! You deserve it Weeder!! I want you all to have a piece of this good pie for yourselves. Im starting the first compliments and the next poster send a compliment or good wish to any member you want to.

Your a rare human Far Rider..... it is rare to stumble across fellow humans willing to stand stead fast. My best wishes to you for a recuprative and restful respite from the battles of life.... surrounded by your loving and supportive family:-4

Hmmmmmmm....................

There are a lot of posts like this around at the moment asking "Who's your favourite?" "Whom do you like the most?" etc, etc. And everyone says hi to the oldies, the ones they know the best, the most prolific posters.

Now there's nothing wrong with that of course, but it might seem to new members, or to members who post infrequently, or to members who've moved on (but who may just pop their head back around the garden gate occassionally), that this is all very clique-y and they might feel a little sad to not be mentioned in that group, or to be left out each time.

So to ALL the members, young and old and somewhere in-between, whether you've been here 5 minutes or 5 years, whether you lurk or whether you've posted and whatever your skin colour or religion, I'd like to bounce my vibes of peace and goodwill out to all of you. I wish health and happiness to you all and the joy of feeling cared for both online and off. And if you take the joy I send to you and pass it on then your joy can only increase and together we'll send out concentric ripples and infect as much of the world as we can! :D :-4

I understand what you're saying Rapunzel.....group hugs are good, but showing admiration and affection for individuals makes us all feel good as well. I would think that all the guests and newcomers that pop in here , see what a great place this is and want to join our 'merry band'. Hopefully they choose FG above some of the more sterile forums. They say that yesterdays strangers are tomorrows friends...I know that to be true...i

It seems to suggest that people to whom good doesn't happen are responsible for their own misfortune. If I get a long slow terminal illness, is it because I failed to align myself with good people and good things? Is someone going to look at me suffering and tell me that if I'd led a better life I wouldn't be ill?

It's not the illness, it's how you cope with it. Some nosedive right into the grave, others fight and even overcome, if only for awhile. Those that are able to fight hardest are usually the type with many friends, undying optimism, and see life as worth living.

Does it always work? Of course not. The attitude is the thing, my friend. :-6

I was diagnosed with apossible terminal cancer this past August Spot. I was so fortunate to have friends to call up and cry to.... take me to the hospital... pray for me, and give me the hope I needed to hang on to my sanity. If it had killed me, it would have been my time to go.. but I would have had a bunch of hands to squeeze as I started the journey... Now I think.... maybe he let me live.. so I could meet you..:)

Happy weekend lilbasco...... thinking of you and your willing helping hands, and heart:-4
