An e mail question
A friend of mine suddenly stopped receiving my e mails about 3 days ago. They're not bouncing back and don't appear to be in her junk mail. I'm still receiving stuff from her though. Any ideas what's happened to them ?.

perhaps they are going to your friends "junk mail" in error.

Double check the email address you are using for your friend. She is not receiving and you are not getting it back because the email is actually going to a person with the mistyped email address. This just happened to me last week. I left out an i in the email address and it went to another person with the same email address, but missing the i.

If they weren't arriving at your friend's POP server (handles email messages at the receive end), then you would get an email notification of this. Has your friend installed a new spam filter. Or perhaps they are using an ISP that has set up a new spam filter service.

I launched the mail from my address book and I did check that but it's correct.

She's checked her spam filter and said it's ok, but I think she's as "technical" as me.
I forwarded a few of the e mails to work to send from there. One of them, the first one not to be received, didn't make it to my work computer. Technology eh?

I don't even know whether or not to believe that. THAT'S how technical I am

It might be worth checking that the emails have moved from your 'outbox' to your 'sent items' folder. If they are still in the 'Outbox', then they haven't been sent yet.
The only other thing that I can think of is that your software might be corrupting the header on the packets. The easiest way round this is to re-install your email client.

That sounds like a problem at your end. Either the message is being mis-formed by your software, it's not being sent or it's being blocked by your firewall.
Does mail get out to anyone else?

I've sent test mails to other people that were ok. I haven't messed with any settings or anything like that.
I deleted her address and added it again about 10mins ago, but havent had a reply yet

I just recently had a major problem with this. The issue lasted over 14 days. My server was blocking the e mail from forum garden. The issue is resolved... but now I am drowning in junk e mail and they are referring to me as Weeder. So I give up. I just dont get it...

Does she have Yahoo? I had a problem like this a while back. I wasn't getting email from LC, but ONLY from LC. One of them actually took 4 days to arrive, some didn't get here at all. It was all Yahoo's fault, too. Bastards. Evil, conniving, deranged Yahoo....

This now suggests that there is something wrong with your friend's POP server.
