Looking for an atrocious pun, and the Easter award for the worst of the lot goes to Jan Erwin, of Canterbury [Sydney]. "While watching Battlefield Detectives on ABC TV on Thursday," writes Jan's husband Bob, "about the battle of Trafalgar, the commentary ran thus: 'The French ships were designed to perform best in calm weather.'

Immediately Jan said: 'So, they were fairweather French ships ..."'

Corny eh?
