Meet me at Lotta's Fountain

Post by valerie »

Tomorrow, the 100th anniversary of San Francisco's Great Earthquake and

Fire, there will be a ceremony and a moment of silence (at 5:13 a.m.)

at the famous Lotta's Fountain. Many centenarian earthquake survivors

will be there. The Fountain survived the quake and fire. (It was dedicated

to the people of SF in 1875 by Lotta Crabtree, a "dancehall girl")

There's going to be what looks like a pretty interesting documentary on the National Geographic channel, (one of the few remaining channels worth watching) on the quake. I believe it's Sunday night at 8 or 9 my time. (EST)

If anyone happens to be interested.
