Tennessee Girl needs support

Post by nvalleyvee »

My daughter T-Girl (for short) is having some problems with dealing with life.

She is in the HAHA house because the damned shrinks misdiagnosed her and put her on meds meant for a 400 pound psychotic person. Her husband was allowed distress leave from Iraq for 15 days - pretty incredible. Brett arrived in-country last night and had a hard time getting in to talk to her docs.......much less T-Girl. I talked to him tonight and he is sooooooooooooo angry for the prescibed meds that caused her to try to commit suicide. I talked to her for a week before she went into the hospital (she was cutting herself - and she told me this) and her voice was monotone.

Anyone have experience with this? I thinkk Brett will get to the down and dirty of it. T-Girls father is willing to have her live with him as is my mother until Brett gets back home. I am not included in this loop because she blames me for her problems. I am very OK with that.

I'm not even remotely familiar with this type stuff, NV. But if there's anything at all I can do to help, just say the word. :yh_flag :yh_flower

How the hell can they stop her husband from seeing his wife. Isn't that illegal?

He is home and care taking his wife...........for 15 days.

A broken leg is one thing.........I don't know what happens in the military but he got emergency family leave....................I am grateful because he is the only person who can do her any good.

***********did she need him home so badly she did this on purpose?*************

I don't know.

Then I misunderstood. I hope she gets well quickly. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

I don't think you misunderstood...........it was just a thought of mine thrown out there for comment. I am very worried about my daughter.............I can only know that she went very downhill after he came back for leave in January and went back to Iraq. I was told there was NO WAY he wound be able to come in-country for her problems. I really have to thank the military for protecting their family.

I would look into suing for the misdiagnosis and the overdose. Was she on antidepressants? I've read before that sometimes they can have the opposite affect and make a person suicidal. Anyways, nv, she along with you, will be in my thoughts and prayers. Let us know how she's doing.

I do not know what Brett is thinking..........except my thoughts. It is up to him now as her husband.....she is coming out of the hospital tomorrow since he is home. He is PISSED off. She was on some anti-anxiety drug that starts with a "C" 5x what she should hve been on. She was on 750 mg of Zoloft twice a day. She was on a drug that I don't know the name of to counteract the "speed" effect" from the other drugs.

Ouch...shes in trouble and I think the smart thing is to do whatever it takes just to get her stabilized. Keep her safe so she doesnt hurt herself. I guess she might have some issues with you if she said that so I would say listen to her without getting defensive. Really hear what shes saying and go from there. Theres no shame in any of it, the idea being to learn, evolve and eventually teach a better way the next go around. God knows we screw up every other day but hopefully we get better at it as we go. We all have issues with our parents and maybe its not even about you. Therapy can show how things are hidden and this might not mean that, hopefully the AHA I GET IT factor will weigh in and she is able to improve her outlook.

I found out many years after the fact that my brother was cutting himself. Ive never talked with him about it but he never got help and hes still doing all the wrong things so get her help, its the only thing that matters right now.

Blessings and prayers
I AM AWESOME MAN

TG is out of the hospital and does not have that monotone quality to her voice anymore. I hope they get things figured out while Brett is in-country. I hope TG can get some sense of grounding in her life. I know Brett is a good husband and friend. Thanks for all your support. Thanks ACC.....it isn't something that goes untalked about in this family anymore.

BR.............thanks for all your non-support. I may have misread you leading me to another forum but the name really upset me.

That other forum is where a bunch of FG members have gone. With things happening here the way they were, I thought you'd like to see some friendly faces, with no bickering going on. Far himself started the forum. I can't help what they named it. While at the time, it was meant as a jab, (I'm currently trying to make up for all my recent nastiness, so, I apologize) the more I thought about it, the more I thought you'd actually appreciate being shown a place where there were friends.

At one point there were hard feelings. I have turned a new leaf. If you care to check out the "Truce" thread, you'll see the story.

Good luck to you and T-Girl. :-6

Am I not putting forth a valiant effort??? Am I not trying to overcome my mean and nasty ways?? And there you stand, mocking me, laughing at my vulnerability. Have you no shame???? :yh_giggle

I'm probably not the only member here who genuinely likes and admires both of you. I'm probably not the only member here who is both overjoyed and a little nervous about about a ceasefire...I'm mean really now, imagine what it will be like for the rest of us if suddenly you two are able to see, if not agree with, the others point of view....

In any event, I stand by my earlier comment.. plus I think you are both the bees knees!:p

OMG............I feel guilty.......I have always NOT been a Christian and have been in the Mother Earth kind of religion..........I called it Wiccan......CRAP!!!

My TGirl got into a pagan coven..I'm not saying that is bad but I am saying it was bad for her. I truly thing the people went overboard in talking her into a depressive situation. She had gotten out of that for 5 years........she was healthy happy and working. Suddenly (3 months ago) she was depressed, could not hold a job and some kind of feeling I didn't understand overtook her (not saying that was bad). They put her on massive drugs.

She was evicted from her house because she left alter candles burning and put burn marks on the walls on her rental house. The house smelled like dog **** because she did not know how to house train the dogs (VAL---HELP)
