From beer to eternity

Fond of the occasional glass of beer, we read with delight about plans to open a beer academy in Britain that would teach drinkers to enjoy their favourite tipple in much the same way as the French.

Although students will be taught to avoid some of the linguistic drivel spouted so often by these French winos.

"There's a lot of pretentious nonsense when it comes to tasting", says lecturer Tim O'Rourke (he has to be Irish), "The important thing is to use language people can relate to".

Ah Yes, I can see it now, "Dis point tastes like a glass of Thames water filtered through the jocks of a homeless man".
