I have to let out a slight scream... I've just been banned from a SECOND forum inside a week... that's two bans in a lifetime, and both of them quite unrelated. I hate it when that happens.

This one's from http://www.vbulletin.com/ itself, and I'm slightly peeved by the reason:

You have been banned for the following reason:

Pirate

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

I don't even have a copy of the question I posted, either. They only allow registered board owners to ask technical questions and I'm a mere user. I asked in their Test area whether there was a syntax starting, for example, http://www.yoursite.com/forums/showthread.php? which allows access by thread and postcount rather than post. Pirate? That's is just so scummy and inept a thing for their tech group to do, the lazy incompetents.

If anyone actually knows the answer, I'd be interested in how to do it.

There must be some places on here where I can get low-down and dirty, surely. This is the area "For technical issues relating to ForumGarden" after all.

For the actual question you have, you'll have to stupidize it for us what didn't get the turbo-thinker upgrade.

For the ban, perhaps the forum saw no other reason for doing whatever it is you're asking about, other than piracy. Either that, or you registered under a suspect identifier and they actually thought they were banning Snooze. :D

I've just been fiddling about with the browser url line... I tried putting #4 or whatever after the address, then going there. No deal.

http://www.forumgarden.com/forums/showt ... post295086

with any number after it gave the same result...

However, the 295086 seems to indicate my own previous post. Try altering both numbers and you get other posts... Research is continuing.

Tech jargon aside, the word "pirate" has to be the key. You must have made them nervous with your tech request. They made up their minds in a heartbeat that you are a hacker and banned you.
