what's the dumb'est thing you've done

Where should I start? I was born one mornin' when the sun didn't shine, I picked up my shovel and I walked to the mine I loaded sixteen tons of number nine coal and the straw boss said "Well, bless my soul". Man, things have gone downhill since.

I can't be the only person here to immediately think of Elvis Presley's greatest moment - I mean, yes he had bigger hits, but only one of them really carried conviction:

It was goin' to be the night tonight, I was going to get to hold you tight. but I guess we didn't plan it right, I never stood a chance, we couldn't dance!

'Cause there's no room to rumba in a sports car, you can't move forward or back. There's no room to do what the beat tells you to without throwing your spine outta whack.

- or did you really manage to avoid all that, collectively? Nobody got claustrophobic on the dance floor?

my sister saved my butt on that one, she showed up threw me in her car and took me home.

I had a short sexual fling with a married UPS driver while I used to work for UPS in the Human REsources Department. This was about 3 years ago, maybe more. A year after we broke up, his wife divorced him. He flipped out and went to my manager and told her it was because of me that his life was now ruined. I don't know everything he said, but she didn't believe him. Everyone said he was crazy.

I told her that I knew him, but that I had not even talked to him in over a year. So I didn't know what his problem was. I think that any other company may have fired me. But since he is in the Teamsters, my managers took my side.

The worst part is that the sex was the worst sex I ever had!:(

I just told SNooze a dumb thing I did the other day, so I gues I will share. I took a building permit to get it laminated at Kinkos for a co worker who couldnt make it up there. Well, he left it on my desk with a bright pink post it note on it that read "PLease copy and laminate original", well everyone knows building permits are bright yellow here, right? Anyway, I ran it through the laminator with the freaking post it note still stuck to it!!!

Passed a speed trap on the way to my daughters house, said to the other daughter travelling with me, "we better remember he is here on the way back" Left daughters house completely mindless about the speed trap and got caught in it going back home, cost me $140.00 and 3 demerit points on my record.

Thank God the foundation was put in backwards and when the steel was erected it was on backwards, so my mistake was pretty small compared to that!

But you wont exactly answer us right? I'll try anyway, why did you go to jail? Was it because you knocked that kid out with a block of ice for picking on your sister?

:yh_rotfl That was when I was about 7, DG, so no, it wasn't that.

I was on probation for a DUI, and I was still in my drinking phase then and I blew off paying things, and blew off appointments with my PO, and generally tried to ignore the whole thing, hoping it would go away. 8 years later I got pulled over for a traffic violation and lo and behold, there was a warrant for my arrest. The judge sentenced me to 30 days. With "good behavior" time I got out in 25. Longest month of my life, let me tell you.

I bet it was. One of my hubby's employees just got her 3rd DUI and she doesnt seem phased by it a bit. We dont understand how you could make the same mistake three times. The first 2 were in the same month!

She will be going to jail, yes? Around here it's 3 strikes you're out. 2 in one month would also be considered habitual.

I think my husband looked it up and heard it was 6 months mandatory jail time. Someone else (who used to be mayor of a small town here) told me you lose your license indefinetly after 3. I think I would learn after the first one just because of all the money you spend in legal fees and fines!

I'm pretty sure he's right. There's got to be mandatory time after 3 times. I sure learned after the first one! It was almost 12 years ago, and although I didn't quit drinking till last year, I never drove drunk again. A cab costs WAY less than all the fines, not to mention the humiliation.
