Over here, you could've used Ten Spot ($10) and kept up the string. :D

OED Quotations: 1846 DURIVAGE & BURNHAM Stray Subjects 135, I moved towards the money, but he prevented my raising it, by covering it with a twenty-spot. 1848 LOWELL Biglow P. Ser. I. ix. 176 He said He'd give a fifty spot right out, to git ye, 'live or dead. 1896 J. Lillard's Poker Stories 246 But one single dollar remained of that five spot.

I’m just going outside and may be some time... you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to reformat this blasted machine and rebuild from scratch, get it just that last few percent better. Ubuntu is really really wonderful.

Mister Dell probably bought a chain of opticians the week before he released this on the market.

Is anyone else here using non-Microsoft on a regular basis at home?

I'm actually going to be there tomorrow Snooze.. well tomorrow London time. It takes 22 hours flying from Oz.. and I think the plane gets to refuel in Honkers this time. Usually it's Singapore. This flight is actually a freebie. I finally decided to cash in a large bunch of frequent flier points. Anyway all of you, try not to massacree each other totally while I'm away, keep the home fires buring and the bas&#@$s honest, as we say in Oz.. and I'll hope to see you all again in mid June.

Thanks Snooze, Arnold !!! I was reading a newbie thread here earlier this evening and suddenly felt a nostalgic urge to go reread my own welcome. And both of you guys were there for me then. It meant a lot. Really. I was seriously contemplating shooting through for good recently. But in the end decided against it. Yer stuck with me.. smile... You take care too and look after the fine people in here. We might have a few iffy moments, but we're family. Cheesy grin.

[QUOTE=SnoozeControl]I know everything isn't always about me, at least I keep getting told that, but let me reassure everyone that I haven't joined the new forum, so you're all safe from my horrible and snarly self. Thank you and have a nice day. :)

Well now... that's not strictly true as I registered on that forum as SnoozeControl. They're not overly keen on your puns I might add :o

That's nice of you, Snooze. I've really been churning the last while. But I've made the decision to stay. My imminent absence is a longstanding arrangement (I hafta do this from time to time) - I will have an internet connection in London, but I'm not familiar with the area in the north of Italy where I'll mostly be.
