A portrait by Pablo Picasso of the woman who influenced him in the late 1930s and early 1940s sold for $95.2 million, the second-highest amount ever paid for a painting at auction, the auction house Sotheby's said.

I wouldn't pay 95 million bucks for ANYTHING. If I had that kind of money, I'm sure I could find WAAAAAY better things to do with it than buy a painting, even if it is a Picasso.

While I understand the importance of Picasso in the artworld, I don't get it, personally.
I do love Van Gogh, though.

I do like Picasso, but money like that should be used for philanthropic endeavors I think.

I agree with Nomad and several other the money should be used for philanthropic endeavors, well at least part of it.
