Anyone else plastered whilst posting?

Post by BabyRider »

I've posted drunk before. I quit drinking shortly after joining up at FG, though so there wasn't much time for me to get really goofy! Been sober since January 15, 2005.

But you enjoy that cider, Pinky!! Have a ball! :yh_bigsmi

Hey, I'm not one of those "preachy" anyone-who-drinks-is-an-alcoholic, type people. If it's not a problem for you, then by all means, have fun! Me, I am one of those people who should never touch alcohol in any form, at any time, for any reason. It's the Native American blood in me.

Carla, you don't know what you're missing!! Cider and Jack Daniels, (a.k.a. "Apple Jack") is an AWESOME drink!! Gimme a warm fall day riding out to the cider mill on the bikes, picking apples, eating donuts and mixing some John Daniels in with the cider....heaven.

The cider you're talking about is fermented in barrels isn't it? Isn't there some kind of "lore" about dead rat's fermented in these cask of apple cider? :yh_worry

Ah scrumpy. I remember the first time I had a pint of the stuff in a somerset pub. One pint and i spent the next hour holding on to the bar till the room stopped spinning terrified to let go in case I fell over thereby confirming the stereotype of the drunken scot. (hint-don't drink scrumpy on an empty stomach) I then had faggots and mushy peas and more scrumpy but after that my memory gets a bit hazy.

Got to be the real stuff though not the sanitised crap you get in supermarkets.
