Post by OpenMind »

Laura, it has been a real pleasure to have met you and chatted with you face to face. You are a wonderful and beautiful human being. And there was me wondering what we were going to do all morning waiting at the airport.

You descended upon us with a passion and a heart big enough for the country. God bless you and may your return home not only be without a hitch, but may your fortunes gallop beyond your dreams.

Here is one big hug for you from Roger.:-4 :-6

Absolutely - it's a weekend that I'm not going to forget, from start to finish. When you get your breath back, Weeder, you must tell us how the Cornwall sightseeing went too, and whether the gardens measured up.

Laura is an absolutely gorgeous woman, inside and out. And even though she's trying to convert me, I love her dearly. Safe journey, Laura. You're so much appreciated here. We love you. :-4

I take it from this post that while BR is a gorgeous woman, she doesn't want to be and her mind on this is unchangeable.

Okiedokie.

You stated that Laura is a gourgeous woman and that she is trying to convert you. Are we agreed on this point?

Excellent. Now, having nothing else to work with other than those two facts, I can only deduce that you don't want to be gorgeous because you indicate that her efforts to convert you are unwelcome. To wit: even though she's trying to convert me, I love her dearly.

While your post was clearly a message of love for a fellow Gardener, it also clearly indicated that you did not have any interest or inclination towards georgeousism, or being georgeous. Unfortunately, you are georgeous, and you have to live with that.

'Kay, first off let me say in my defense that it's my day off. (I'm playing hooky.) Thus, being my day off, I do not use my brain to it's full capacity, which explains my slowness in grasping what you're trying to say. It is, however, all crystal clear now.

I meant that Laura is trying to convert me into a more open-minded and nicer person, with less racially motivated views and opinions. Had nothing to do with physical beauty at all.

Are you being obtuse, Roger? :yh_wink :yh_bigsmi

Me, obtuse.

Nah, I just like to grab a rag and shake it. Just try and pull it from me. I'll argue just for the sake of it.

Laura should be flying over the Atlantic at present, her flight left at around 4 p.m. (BST) She is due to arrive home at about 10 p.m. her time (gosh I think that's right. Laura, put me right if I've totally missed the timing!). She will be so tired as she left Cornwall at 7 a.m!

It was a pleasure to have Laura staying here with me and I really miss her company. She will be home safe and sound when she reads this so "Welcome home, Laura, and you're a truly lovely lady." With love...jackie
