Ugh, MONDAYS!!

Post by chocoholic »

:( Well, it's Monday, so that's a reason for feeling blue.

Secondly, I have just been to view a house to let (on behalf of my niece who currently lives hundreds of miles away in Edinburgh). God, estate agents are the pits!

They wouldn't tell me the exact address of the house, I had to drive out and cruise around trying to spot the correct house, plus it's been pouring with rain and that isn't the best time to choose to go house viewing.

Luckily I found the house without too much trouble but the ditzy girl from the estate agents didn't have a clue, there weren't even printed details of the property with room sizes etc. Thank goodness I had the foresight to take my digital camera and a tape measure.

(The house was really lovely I must admit and I think that my niece and her family will take it and move back down here to live)

Well, that's a bit better now that I have had a ramble and gots things off my chest!

Hope everyone else had a better start to their week!

Hi chrisb84uk, or may I call you chris?, the house was in Kingstone, please promise me that you won't apply to take it or my niece will kill me!

Wish what you said about being one day nearer the weekend was something to feel cheerful about but I've got a ceiling to paint tomorrow, so I'm not looking forward to Tuesday either:(

Hehe yes chris is fine, chrisb84uk doesn't really have that same 'ring' to it does it!! :wah:

Oh no I have no intention of applying for the house, I only asked because living in Worcestershire, I was curious as to where this house was, and if I knew the place, because I have been to Hereford and surrounding cities many times to visit my gran. Can't say I have ever been to Kingstone before though.

Oh shame to hear about the painting tommorow!! So besides that what else do you have planned, anything you are looking forward too this week??

Hi Choco, I worked at an estate agents in the rental department for a while in Chester so I know where your coming from. It was one of the worst jobs I have ever had. If your neice takes the house on tell her to go direct to the owner with any problems or if possible do away with the estate agent all together and use a solicitor for the agreement. The agents will rip off both your neice and the owner. I know this sounds harsh but I do know what I'm talking about.

On second thoughts maybe if you ask around first not all agents are as bad as the one I worked for. :)

My monday isn't going to well either.

:D Hi chris and Hi pina, thanks for the advice, I will pass it onto my niece.

Tomorrow, apart from the joys of painting the ceiling I have lots of other exciting decorating work to look forward to.

I've got the walls to strip off the old paper and I then need to patch up some of the plaster etc.

I hate decorating but I really can't put this room off any longer.

Thank goodness I'm not Michaelangelo!
