Registration problem for a new member

OK, I have a problem. As I have mentioned I work as an assistant to a lady with Cerebral palsy. I had shown her this website, and she wanted to register as a "regular" non paying member. I got her all signed in, and the system accepted her user name, but she has never recieved the confirmation email that allows her to start posting messages. What needs to be done? She has joined as Kimber767, and though She can sign in, all the forums come up as locked, and when I tried to help her post a new message, in the intro section, she was told she had no access due to not being a supporting member!!

What else do we need to do? When she is at home, she will be able to access on her own, but needs help here.
