Ya know what aggravates me???

You probably expected to see the word "everything" here, huh? :yh_rotfl

Seriously...it's the price of blades for my razor. I use a Venus, which is the female version of the Mach3 for men. The blades for each are interchangeable. I've not yet found a razor that works better, but the damn blades are SOOOO expensive!! It's over $8 for a box of 4!!! I'm beginning to think that it would be cheaper to go for waxing. Sure, it's expensive, but geeze, the damn blades are killing my budget, believe it or not. I will have to sit down and do some math to see if it will, in fact, be cheaper to go for waxing. Anyone else use these high-priced razors? Does the price p!ss you off????

How often do you shave your legs?

Overheard at picnic. "I shaved my legs for this?"

BTW You would like the music at my house this evening. Did I mention Pink Floyd?

I guess I'll give "home waxing" a go, but I can't use the disposable ones. They do nothing for me. Thanks for the tip, though!!

Now you're shaving your ASS? I don't get it...

Hate to bring up a possibly much-hated name but Wal-Mart?

Or Costco is cheaper, yes you have to pay to join but gas

is ten cents cheaper, and that alone makes it worth it for most.

Remember the source here though. One disposable lasts me a

looooong time.

Anybody out there remember when you used to put your used

blades through the slots in the medicine cabinet?

I know the prices are outrageous. I just Dave's Mach 3 now, he only shaves every 2 weeks or so.

I reckon I get between 3 and 6 months out of a single Mach3 head, restricting its use to my own face once daily. Nearer 6 than 3. In my experience they just don't get blunt, it's that simple. The limiting factor is my failing occasionally to flick it completely dry afterwards - I'm told that's a common men-only problem. When I see rust at the corners I bin the head and start a new one.

It's true BR!

Same for 4 Mach 3 blades here in the UK. Outragious - I manage to make 1 blade last for a couple of weeks just out of sheer bloody mindedness. The most expensive place I've bought them in is in New Zealand. Paid the equivalent of £8 for 4 in Christchurch!

Was travelling at the time and my ex-wife used to use my razor for leg shaving. How come women, who are smooth skinned and soft and lovely and whose leg hairs are surely made of silk, can render a new blade unusable after one use?v:-2

I know that is a bit of an old chestnut but really, how??!

Approve of the music jb - love Floyd. Apparently Roger Waters is peforming The Wall somewhere in London, though not sure when or where. Rumoured that some (or all) of the band my join him but think it's unlikely.

Tonight's music choice here is nice uplifting euphoric hard house - perfect for a Friday night.

:yh_hugs

What's everyone else up to tonight / this weekend?

I recently got the Venus Vibrance, I love it but I haven't checked yet what the blades cost?!

I'm going to look into lasering it all off soon, the prices are reasonable, especially considering how much you spend on hair removal in your lifetime! :D

Id like to find an electric that works well but I dont think they exist. I have a cool Panasonic that you can use in the shower but I still have to run a razor up my throat when Im done. Mach huh ? Seems like overkill, and if you have a beard or goatee you dont get a precision edge with all those blades. I like to keep my stach and goatee real clean on the edge. So thats my whole wad on razors.

They 're really expensive over here too, I use Schick silk effects with aloe but the blades cost a fortune, I also have to supply my daughter with blades for hers too asshe uses the same.

How about the price of shampoo and conditioner? thats a reall budget killer at my house as Steph and I both prefer Sunsilk or Dove.

Didn't some one once mention trying packing tape instead of waxing, you could give it a go and let us know how it works. :D

My neighbour had her face lazered and it got infected, she look awful for weeks. Nobodies coming near me with a lazer, I'd rather keep shaving and waxing.

Trying to imagine what part of her face she was having lasered?

And why?! Surely safer methods of hair removal?

She had her cheeks and jaw lazered to remove lines, it's a bit like having second degree burns to you face. If I ever get my face done it won't be lazered that for sure.

I'd do it!

I've had microdermabrasion done and my face felt SO clean after!

I didn't wear make-up for about a week! Even in public! :D

Do you have to have the treatment every so often or is it a one off thing? My neighbours treatment was permenant, I have thought about dermabrasion.

Microdermabrasion is not like dermabrasion or chemical peels or lasers where you're removing layers of skin, so there's no recovery time, it's very gentle! This is the first time I did it, I'd go again! I love how clean my skin looked and felt!:)

I've heard of people having it done monthly, but I'm not that into how I look! LOL! :D

In some countries "hair on women's legs is considered sexy". Maybe women who shave should revolt, & throw away their razors! Look at all the time & money you'll save! ;) :wah: Anyone know how that trend got started anyway???

I do. My Father built that house in 1954. The mortgage payment was $67.00.
