Remote control car's, helicopter's, mini moto's but thankfully not trainset's ..yet
Why is it a man can keep himself amused for hour's with a load of junk,, give him a shed (or 3rd of the garage ) in my case and they can while away the hour's playing,,i mean putting on sticker's and making a bloody mess . HELP ....
Mine spends money on stuff he plays with once - indoor model helicopter, still, to name but two. Then whatever reason he gives for not playing with them is always my fault!
We are shortly to visit his recently emigrated daughter and family in Oz. For this he has bought a handheld PSP with loads of games, fancy thief-proof rucksacks, all sorts of things for the journey.
He sits upstairs on his computer most of the evening, then decides to come downstairs and be sociable ten mins from the end of whatever detective rubbish I'm watching so I miss whodunnit.
Rick's thing is electronics and media gadgets. We have two sattelite dishes (off the same system..one has TiVo and the other just records. We also have a projector, to project TV onto the wall. We have 3 DVD players..one is a combo with VCR. And there is a DVD recorder also, surround sound as well as a reciever. Plus other things. And oh yes...Rick owns almost 1000 CDs and about 200 DVD's..most recorded off the TV or Pay Per View
Well ladies I confess I'm one of the guys when it comes to hanging out in the garage and working on things... I love to fix stuff, love hi tech stuff you name it I like it. I guess it stems from spending most of my time as a little girl working on things with my dad for years. I know more about cars than most men do. I can fix anything in the house and outside the house. I just love it. This week I have been doing electrical work in the house, replacing all the old wiring.. Guess it just comes easy for me..
BE GLAD YOUR HUBBIES ARE AT HOME WITH THEIR HOBBIES...!!
ALOHA!!
MOTTO TO LIVE BY:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.
:wah: When David and I first got married, weekends basically were him and his friends with a 30 pack of beer and the playstation. They would stay up till 3 or 4 in the morning playing. Then the hobby changed to RC car racing. I would tag along when he would go race. I even had my own car, but I'm not cordinated enough to drive a RC car very well. Now his hobby is motorcycles. He's completely redone a wrecked Harley, and is always fixing something on a friends bike.
I learned along time ago just to let him do his thing, life's easier that way.
"Girls are crazy! I'm not ever getting married, I can make my own sandwiches!"
I think that there is a continuing need for neuro muscular exercises in men. So called "multi task" activities are what women crave but neuro muscular co-ordination is what men crave.
Simply my wife enjoys sweeping and planning the shopping list and I work out a way to fix the bathroom tap.
