lol chocolate gives me belly ache.

Im depressed as I have nothing left to give to someone I tried to help. In the process I have left some children sad that they wont see me as much. I'll feel fine in time just right now the pain is a bit intense....if I cut myself I usually throw salt on it to make it go away quicker...emotional pain you cant do that :-5

Anyway Im off to bed for tonight

Thanks for all your input Ill check back tomorrow.:)

When I get down really low, I play my cd of my favorite songs, put on comfy pj's and just dance around the house. I just act silly and eventually I come out of my funk. :D

Hi all

The reason I'm depressed:

for about 4 years I have volunteered with our local cub pack and although I have loved every minute of being with the kids I had problems with the akela.

He's a nice guy, kind hearted etc but in my opinion not great in his role as leader. He kept disappearing into the kitchen etc finding endless things do away from the kids. Several times I was left on my own with them and our rules say there should be two leaders present all the time. I've been working hard on a teaching assistant course so did not want that put in jeopardy due to the rules of our organisation not being followed and an incident occuring.

I have complained about safety issues before but the only person I can complain to locally is my GSL (HIS WIFE) so of course nothing is done about it. I could go higher up and take it out of house but as I say he's a nice guy and I dont know if I could hurt him that way.

So I requested to move down a section., the leader there is great and the kids are great too. In an ideal world I would help at both, but I cant because of the way he runs things. The kids and I were both sad on Monday when I had to tell them I was leaving. I know time will heal. Today I will be seeing some of them (volunteer at school) and I know they're gonna ask questions.

Maybe I'll try the music thing.
Blessed be.

being bi-polar I know a little about depression.....get all the sunshine and light that you can...no dark rooms and closed doors...force yourself to see something funny in everything you can...turn everything that seems ominous into an adventure...think of yourself as someone that is lovely even though you know you are not...change your hairstyle...try new makeup...do not stay away from people or friends...tell your closest friend that you are fighting depression and ask them to tell you when you start acting glum and gloomy...ask a friend to go to a restaurant to lunch...see a psychiatrist if possible and a dr. to get medication to help with your struggle...do not let it get the best of you...determine that you are the winner in this game of unbalanced chemicals in your brain...also know that there are a jillion people out there that are in the same boat and smiling through it.,...good luck...

Keep in touch via school with the kids you're leaving and enjoy the new group you're going to be spending time with. These things always leave an ache in your heart, but it will ease. The leader you speak about needs to be straightened out about the problem you describe. maybe your replacement will do that or can you now that you won't be close to hime.....

Hope it all works out anyway :yh_hugs

Hi folks feeling a bit better today.

Sob stories from complete strangers, a long walk and a few hours spent with a good friend have helped me to chill a little although I still feel angry that nothing is being done about it. Ive been given advice from some that say tell someone higher up and from others that say forget about it as she will make my life a misery if I persue it. Its just the moving on and forgetting about it that's the difficult bit.

Well then-welcome baloo?? LOL Hang in there--let me tell ya...any person that has time to hang out with kids is ok in my book...You will find your place and it will feel right when you do...Rules are rules...(yes-some are made to be broken:lips: ..BUT in todays society - it is appropriate to follow them...unfortunatly a couple of nasty eggs make us awkward in situations we shouldn't be put in..You have done the right thing and you will be a better person in the long run..Hang in there--and have a glorious weekend....:-4 MOM

That's pretty cool Diuretic, most kids lose them within weeks of getting them. In fact my son has just returned from Scout camp minus both woggle and scarf! Oh the shame:o :wah:
