I went to the historical society so long ago that I don't remember when. I don't read much so no I havent read that Fall River Legend thing. Even if I was a hardcore reader, that would be the last book I opened. I hate this city with a passion. Where's the Union hospital?
sorry you hate Fall River...why? union hospital is up in the highlands, it could have been renamed by now. i cannot recall street name. it's at the top of that long steep road going to highland area.

Hello, and welcome to ForumGarden! I hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Welcome.
I used to hate hockey but for some unfathomable reason I enjoyed it intensely the last year. The Canucks really do suck, though.

I bet I enjoyed it more than you dear girl, having experienced Hockey in Calgary last year and the "Red Mile"
Welcome young man, hope you enjoy your stay here it really is a grand place.
Are you missing NHL Hockey. What are your thoughts on it, who is being more stubborn, players or the league dudes??
I say fire all the players tell em to go get real jobs and rebuild the NHL with reasonable salaries and have players experience the real world of a job and pay. Gawd if anyone deserves huge salaries it should be our medical staff, law enforcement and firepeople, now there is jobs that people need huge pay, after all they take huge risks and have huge stress and they work darn hard.

You are right about it. They used to have a short career of about twenty years max and needed to feather the nest for post hockey lives. Now they are feathered with too much stuff, and the owners in their lust for dollars and profits allowed it so that they could jack up their prices and rake in more cash, purportedly, to keep up with the amazing player's salaries.
In a really good world the players and the owners would take their excess cash and donate it to a fund that would give cops, firemen and our medical staff better benefits for the work that they do. Being as they are the unsung heroes of society it is food for thought.

In a perfect world we could only hope.
Well I for one and really disappointed in hockey player greed it is most upsetting. But I spose it matches baseball player, basketball player and football player greed. A crying shame. What atheletic kid doesn't want to be a superstar athlete. And what exactly are these bozos teaching these kids, "go for the big bucks kid!!"
What a load of horse puckey.!!!!
