Drop Kick this one

Post by minks »

I wanna start this thread for those of you out there who encounter people you wish you could just drop kick into another universe....

Argh yes I have a few in my life.... but today these 2 are number 1 on my list

Jr Minks has a BF he is a decent kid, has been through his share of ..."stuff" but all in all seems to be on the right path.

His parents however irk the heck out of me. They go in spurts of being nice then being idiots.

Well their precious son is skipping school and got caught so they went on a tear about this in front of my daughter while she was there, blamed her, told them both she spends to much time at their house and sent her home.

Ok all fine I respect their decision to ground their kid, but the kicker is, they blame my kid.... when they raised an older son who was a druggie, so bad of a druggie they moved from here to the east coast to get him away from here and the kid continued to be a druggie and so they left him on the east coast (I think he is nearly 20 now) and walked away from this kid. So son number 2 has also had his share of problems before he met Jr Minks, into drugs, smokes against his parents will, and behind their back, was out all hours of the night etc. Well when he and Jr Minks hooked up, I set down a pretty serious curfew and in the end his parents adopted it as well. Jr Minks does not smoke or do drugs, and is diligent with her school work. Generally a decent kid for being on her own most days to get to and from school and coming from a divorced family. So needless to say, some folks should look in their own back yard before casting stones at others.

Argh ok I feel better.

Hah I figure they don't need their darn faults thrown in their faces. They are so wishy washy, one minute they want Jr Minks and I to come camping with them the next they want her out of their sons life. Not the first time they have said she is a bad influence... crikey!!

hehehe thanks I guess.

I tell ya the boy is a great kid from what I have seen of him and his parents are such hard nosed control freaks with him. I guess they have gone to the extreme after son number one failed.

Yeah, minks, sounds like textbook behavior after raising 'one bad apple'.

How nice that this boy may grow up normal and well-adjusted *in spite* of his parents!

Sounds like your daughter is a good and positive influence in his life.
