No these are National saving premium bonds,they are tax free on any winings,you can get all your money back within 5 days......they all go into a draw every month,there are two £1million,prizes, some 100,000,50,000,25,000
10,000, 5,000 1,000 and then thousands of £100 and £ 50 the maximum you are allowed to invest is £30,000 if you do have the max. you are guaranteed to win some prize each month,that is if you have average luck...............we also have the National lottery with prizes sometimes at £18,000,000...........but of course when you pay up on that your money has gone forever..

Just seen your post and have to say I too won £100 PBs yesterday.
As has happened a couple of times before, I won £50 on two different
bond numbers in the same draw. Twice, my husband and I have each won £50 in
the same draw..........but it does'nt happen often enough for my liking !!
I also have to crow about a £10 win on the lottery ticket I bought my
husband on Wednesday........our first ticket in 3 yrs !!

Lovely feeling to win,the only problem with us is we have 30k each so we would expect to win a lot more than we do.

I'm not a gambler, by any means, but my husband thinks we might just be lucky one day . baaaaaahh !! I used to belong to my firm's lottery syndicate. there were 17 of us, so 17 chances to win every week, but in the 6 yrs that I was in it, we won £103 ( on MY line.......had to share it out !
) £57 and the very odd £10, about 3 times a year. The funny thing was, most of us wanted to back out but were fearful the others would then hit the jackpot. !! LOL

On the lottery ? last week I won £40 on hot picks 2 numbers 39 & 47.........
I also have 3 number line which I think pays out £250 I think its better to try those than the main lottery.
But going back to P.Bonds, it craws me when I see on teletext that someone with a holding of £250 go and win £100,000...............never mind keep trying.
