Anything RANDOM Goes Here!!

Post by Rachel78 »

I am so frustrated right now and I don't even know why... I feel like crying and I hate when that happens... especially when there is no reason for me to feel down... *sigh* I should be ecstatic... I mean I'm going to see my parents, sisters, I'll be with my niece and nephews, get to spend time with my hubby too which I rarely get to do... and still... still there is something missing... this is the place for random thoughts and I think I'm just random venting... writing makes me feel better... it stays bottled up all the time... I put it on paper or type it on a screen and it relaxes me... ugh... well, I don't know if I'll attempt sleep or just sit here and think... thinking is not an option... sleep doesn't seem to be since I know my mind will run a mile a minute... ugh... okay... I feel somewhat better... well... my random thought/rant for the hour...:-1

Hope you feel better Rachel, it is a good thing to be able to write and vent, its great to have a place to do it and this is a great place for it, it seems to me that FG is a god send for so many of us,we can write, have a laugh, cry,and talk about nothing and be welcomed by folks we've never met, though it appears some FG members have had get togethers, would'nt it be great if we could have a central gathering for all of us sometime, the Big Garden Party!!:-6

And here's Aisling to join us in the wee hours of the morning!!

Yeah, FG is a pretty great place, isn't it? I know I've gotten more support and made some true friends here than in real life sometimes.

I gotta take issue with you both, Aisling and BabyRider. I think the friends we make in here are completely REAL, in all senses of the word. The main difference maybe is that when you first meet cyberly, so to speak, rather than face to face, you are not swayed by a person's outward appearance. I mean BR may be so hideous in real life that none of us would ever stick around long enough to discover the lovely person underneath - just kidding!!! (We've seen the pics). Grin. Or the other way round - the drop dead gorgeous face which grabs every eye may mask a small, spiteful mind.... Grin... You know what I mean... Online you are not misled by outward appearance. You get to know someone from the inside out - rather than from the outside in. But it's REAL.

Thanks Chonsi. My time overseas had its ups and downs but a big up was a week's walk in Brittany. Loved everything there. The sea, the moorland, the amazing rocks, the people, the celtic music and legends, the otherworldliness. The av is a Breton design.

Thank You!!! I woke up feeling better this morning. I better, my trip is in less than four hours! I will miss coming on here to this site, even though I've only posted a few times... I don't keep track of my random thoughts... As far as Garden Party goes.. Hey, wasn't that a Ricky Nelson song? :-3 If I'm wrong, don't be too angry with me... I do like that song, whoever sings it... I am pretty sure it's him... ooh, I love when my mind gets caught up on something like this... takes it off other crap... heehee... well, I need to pack. Yay... that's almost as fun as moving for me... :-5 Okay, that may be a bit much... You all have a wonderful day and I'll see you in a week... you'll forget me by then... I'll remind you though... oh, by then I'm sure you'll have another newbie to BBQ (will hold onto the wonderful memories of when y'all wanted to season me *sigh*)... I'm off like a dirty shirt (ha, remember Jon Cryer said that in Pretty In Pink? No? Then watch the movie again... heehee) I'm out of here... Here's a song to remember me by... :guitarist

Enjoy your trip Rachel. Floppy, Chonsi - Grin.. I think the GBs have become famous now at least in FG !!! Go hear them and report, please.. And Snooze - yes, I have seen the three legged thingie before. And the Isle of Man is very celtic. I'll see what I can did up.

PS

Found this on the three legged Man

http://www.isle-of-man.com/interests/th ... ndex.shtml

and here even more

http://www.isle-of-man.com/manxnotebook ... y/legs.htm

I love the heraldic description

Gules, three legs armed, conjoined in fesse at the upper part of the thighs, flexed in triangle, garnished and spurred

I can kinda feel a limerick coming on........

Okay Spot... grin... yeah... I'm Jake wifanextra leg... etc. Our very own export to the UK... Mr Rolf Harris himself. Grin.

Although the early representations showed the legs running clockwise (supporting the supposition they are derived from a sun symbol) later representations showed both clockwise and anticlockwise. This latter case gave rise to pun:

With one leg I spurn Ireland,

With the second I kick Scotland,

And with the third I kneel to England

Kinda appropriate for Rolfie.

Graham Kerr actually had quite a lasting influence on my cooking style.

Thank you Spot! Didn't realise we'd deported so much talent. Actually, the British television and film industries have acquired two of my kids too. Sigh.

Sigh.I've seen three of the five on stage, though sadly never Barry Humphries. He was a bonza cartoonist before he went berserk and took to the stage. I never saw the chef live either.

The last time I saw Rolf Harris perform was at the Glastonbury Festival where he had the entire crowd belting out Two Little Boys with him. He was having a grand time.

I saw the television presentation on "Sir" Rolf painting the Queen, Uncle Kram, and that's probably the most informal she's ever been... grin.

It was amazing. There She was, lugging her handbag, though she'd only come from one palace room to another and talking in the kind of slightly aggrieved tone which seems common to a lot of Englishwomen of her vintage when nobody leaps to their feet in the tube and offers them a seat. You know the kinda thing. Almost endearing!

PS Here it would be a 24 banana necklace - the price of that fruit having skyrocketed after the recent Queensland storms.
