Anything RANDOM Goes Here!!
:wah: Oh, that never vacuums up!
Once we got to write whatever we wanted on the kitchen walls, my mother was going to hang up wallpaper.
20 years later she made us all come over to the house, when she took the paper down, to see our handiwork!

:driving: <--- I feel like going for a drive... but it's midnight and in this particular part of town it's not the smartest or safest choice, some would say... which is kind of crap because I should be able to leave my house whenever I so choose and not be "asking" for something bad to happen to me... what's up with that? Don't you feel that if you want a smoke, a run, a donut, whatever you should be able to do it at 5 a.m., 3 p.m., or 2 in the morning if you so choose? Apparantly we don't have many choices like that because women (though I'm sure plenty of men get attacked) are always getting harmed and sometimes blamed for their clothing, their flirting, their kindness, or the fact that they went out somewhere alone. Things that I've wanted to go do, my husband will flat out refuse because he's afraid of what might happen to me... I mean that it's within reason, it's not like he's paranoid to the point where I can't walk to the mailbox, the laundry mat, or to throw the trash (we live in a ghetto apartment complex)... but if I've wanted to go for a drive or to the store and it's passed a certain hour, he'll pretty much refuse... then our complex even posted notes on our doors telling us the crime rate had risen in our area and that we should try not to go out into the night... but if we do, to do so with care because of carjackings and purse snatching and other attacks... it's freaken ridiculous...

I'm with ya, Rachel. I've lived in some pretty poor areas, and never felt the need to imprison myself because of the danger. It's a good subject for a new thread, dontcha tink? It should get lots of action.

It's very hard to know what you missed, Accountable. I'd been chatting to Theia in the Hey Paul thread or whatever. Then you came in saying something about spreading sweetness and light like butter. Rapunzel came in and suggested I write a limerick. I got all inspired and was well on the way to producing a masterpiece of subtlety and wit .... :wah: ... when BANG, either FG shut up shop or my computer shut up shop. Either way, I went to bed. Next morning, lo and behold the whole thread had been consigned by Management to the Tar Pit, being officially deemed of no value. I went into an immediate decline and have been flouncing about banging doors ever since - when I rememer. Actually I seem to have recovered.

I did catch the end of all that. Didn't you delete the limerick?

I saw limerick as "Lime Rick"
I hear it all the time "Rick,
You're not still in your prime, Rick.
You need to settle down."
"Stop lifting heavy things, Rick.
You see I'm not laughing, Rick.
Your back is not a spring. Pick
Some one to help you, clown!"

Argh, I'm finishing grading my take-home finals. They had a week to do it, a textbook and all my lecture notes! How can they get any grade below a C?
Don't they open the book up?

News flash, people... Texas is freaken hot!!!! Incase you didn't know... well, my "almost" week with my parents ends today... in less than 12 hours, I'll be on the road back to Dallas... *sigh*... then my b-day meets me on Sunday... after 18, birthdays aren't that exciting to me, except the money always makes me smile...
my toddler nephew has been sick since Friday when we brought him down and he just turned Exorcist on me a minute ago... I'll save the details for myself... lets just say Linda Blair would have been proud! :-3 Now to travel back with him for 10 hours during the middle of the day... that sounds exciting, eh? Note to self... don't have kids... nah, I'm just kidding... but after sitting a 12 yr. old, 5 yr. old, and 2 yr. old... it may be a long while before I get the urge to have one of my own... I'm off, peeps... :yh_peace
