I'm One Proud Aunt..!!

:D Today my niece who has played on many a US women's youth soccer teams got the great news that she has been ask to join the FULL US WOMEN'S NATIONAL TEAM, THE TEAM THAT GOES TO THE OLYMPICS... I'm so excited this kid has been playing Soccer (Footbal) since she was 7 years old. She is the captain of her team at Stanford now. :-6

JUST HAD TO BRAG A BIT THIS IS SUCH AN HONOR FOR HER SHE HAS WORKED LONG AND HARD TO GET THIS OPPORTUNITY..!! USA 2008.. :-4

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

Chonsigirl, If I have to work a second job to get the money to go to the Olympics in 2008 I will be there waving the US flag and screaming USA, USA...!!:D

I had missed where you had said she is going to Stanford. I wanted to know if you meant the youth Olympic team or the adult team. I had assumed you were referring to the adult team, due to you using the word "full", but I wasnt quite sure. Reason being, I wanted to catch her play, so that I knew which team to look for.

Anyway, Im happy for her, and on behalf of all Americans, and those who enjoy the game of soccer, we are proud and will be cheering for her.

Carla, that's about the coolest news I've heard in a month. You should be proud!! Tell your neice that she has people from all over the world rooting for her, and we'll be watching!! Keep us posted on when her matches will be aired, won't you?

Thanks guy we are still excited today.. She is such a good kid went right from High School to Stanford on a Soccer Scholorship, mind you she is also brilliant. She will turn 21 in August.. She is so excited, they wanted picture of her growing up playing soccer. My mom had a picture of her first game she always wore her shin guards over her socks not under...:wah: :wah:
