2. I see that most of the reports come from sites, what about actual newspaper reports from the newspapers themselves? Not links from xenu, lament2, etc. How about from the Daily Telegraph or similar including other links like CNN?1. Well, it may or may not be interesting, but Scientology is mentioned only in passing. I fail to discern your point here.
2. hel, I don't think you've been paying attention. The TIME article appeared in one the world's foremost news magazines, classified as a NEWSPAPER by the US Postal Service. The fact that the article is conveniently available online is beside the point, I HAVE a copy of the magazine itself, and can assure you that it is genuine. TIME, whether or not one agrees with it's slightly left-of-center political orientation, is one of the most respected news journals in the world, and it certainly doesn't have to print lies to sell copies; on the contrary, doing so would destroy its credibility and alienate its millions of loyal readers.
I gotta say that, while I doubt that anyone in authority at FG is going to prevent you from continuing to post here, in my opinion you are abusing the purpose of this forum by failing to respond to the other posters' questions, as discussion is the whole purpose of the forum - it is not intended as a soapbox.
First and foremost, we would all like to know your personal take on the Xenu story:
a. Does such a tale exist in Scientology, or was it made up by the group's detractors?
b. Is it fact or fable? If fact, how did Mr. Hubbard come by such knowledge?
c. Whether fact or fable, is hearing it worth $19,500? What say you?

helefra wrote: Enturbulation - Cause to be turbulent or agitated and disturbed.
Enturbulation is a term used in Scientology to describe a truth or fact that is disturbing to Scientology customers, or which expresses or exposes a crime or abuse Scientology has allegedly imposed upon either previous customers or on the "wog" populace.
The root of the term enturbulation stems from a notion contrived by Scientology's founder L. Ron Hubbard, who wrote a book called A History of Man wherein he claims that humans evolved from clams (also known as boohoos and weapers).
Scientologists use "wog" disparagingly for non-scientologists. Scientology's founder L. Ron Hubbard employed the term frequently in his lectures and writings, and his followers in the Church of Scientology continue to do so. From a 2000 staff recruitment leaflet:
"Why spend your time and ability working a 9 to 5 job in the wog world, when you can be 100% on-purpose, working full-time to help change conditions and Clear the Planet?"
As Hubbard had been an officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II, his usage may have derived from the maritime rather than the racial meaning.
BTW creating words as if the existing ones aren't good enough is another example of brainwashing. He takes away your vocabulary and damages your ability to reason.
For anyone who wants a quick run down on the Xenu story that helefra won't talk about go to http://www.clambake.org/SPEpisode912_-_ ... eps.net.rm
for the South Park episode that parodies the belief. It's not completely accurate in details but it's incredibly entertaining
Statement released after the rerun of this episode was canceled.:
So, Scientology, you may have won this battle, but the million-year war for earth has just begun! Temporarily anozinizing our episode will not stop us from keeping Thetans forever trapped in your pitiful man-bodies. Curses and drat! You have obstructed us for now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail! Hail Xenu!!!

Perhaps it is not always easiest to find information by going to the source.
FYI it is in the OT III

wog (wg)
n. Chiefly British Offensive Slang
Used as a disparaging term for a person of color, especially a person from northern Africa or western or southern Asia.
gol·li·wog or gol·li·wogg (gl-wg)
n.
A doll fashioned in grotesque caricature of a Black male.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[After Golliwog, a character in books by Florence Upton (died 1922), American illustrator.]
Real nice of them Scientologists.
The last time I remember hearing the term used was by one of the British characters in the old movie, "Lawrence of Arabia".
Just my two cents for today.

helefra wrote: To clarify, OT III is one of the upper levels in Scientology and not available as yet to anyone who is doing the lower levels of Scientology. Presently, I am still studying the lower levels of Scientology, I therefore cannot answer this question until I study the higher levels of Scientology. To obtain the answer to this, I can only direct you to contact a Class VI organisation, the details of which you will find on the Scientology website that I have given you.
Exactly! They don't think you are ready to hear about Xenu. That is the story about where all those body thetans are coming from that you are trying to clear. Don't you think that's important?
I don't have to ask a Class VI organisation because I took the initiative to find out about it myself.
I don't disagree that people are surrounded by psychic junk but there are a number of much cheaper ways to get rid of it. The other ways are more empowering as well. Like I said in your other thread, L Ron had some information that he was weaving into his story and getting results but for reasons different than what he said. He created an alien mythology and incorporated a healing system based on metaphysical principles that he learned from someone else. He did not become a master in the use of his metaphysics so he completed it with sci-fi.

"...you will forgive me if I don't describe it to you in very broad detail because it's very likely to make you sick, too." is the most apt quote from the tape. But what you quoted above proves his point fairly well.
Actually, Siddhartha Gautama penetrated the mysteries of the Universe and did not die. He's got a little religion of his own called Buddhism in which all the information is freely available up front and no one has ever died from it.

I found the following web link of interest perhaps this may help others to understand what Xenu is all about. It seems as though the Xenu story is perverted data. However, check it out for yourself and decide. Have a browse through it for other data such as "eating the placenta" and also the scriptures.

Totally unrealted to all religious questions, but Helefra I notice you are a fan of "Battlestar Galatica", I don't know much about it, but my mate used to be flatmates in LA with that English guy on the left hand side of your picture with the blonde draped around him, and they are good mates. He's a baddy in it, or kinda anti-hero or something isn't he? Well, thought you might be interested in that little tit bit of info.
Now, back to religion, carry on.

A CD reviewed at Dusted sounds as though the music of Khlyst is just the right accompaniment for your ritual, Jesse. It's at http://www.dustedmagazine.com/reviews/3204
They're named after an obscure Russian sect, which also tried to take upon themselves all the sins of the world by whipping themselves into ecstatic frenzies and orgying.
I haven't got a copy of "Chaos is My Name" yet but it's high on my list of what to get on my birthday.

I consider myself a Christian since I try to live my life by what Jesus lived and died to teach us – being good to each other.
Like Jesus, I talk about the Good News of God's Kingdom with people wherever I find them.
I appreciate how he put our priorities straight for us, when asked to do just that....
"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" He said to him: "'You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. The second, like it, is this, 'You must love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets." Matthew 22:36-40
I have much more to "say", and wonder if I will be welcomed here, and maybe even a little encouraged. I wonder if there are some here who would like to discuss scripture and religion with me? I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and have found putting this right up front helps those who might be "suspicious" of my motive... Honestly, my purpose is to share what I've learned so far, as opposed to still looking. Sometimes, people with an equal commitment to their chosen religion, provide the most lively conversation.
For context, I didn't grow up a Witness. I used to be a non-denominational Christian, floundering around, looking for meaning, purpose, direction, reason, and a people who really were trying to exercise a Bible based faith. I found them all, and would welcome any and all to "look" for the same as if looking for buried treasure!
Based upon my experience, that's what it really felt like when I found "truths" to put faith in; as opposed to the traditions of my youth.
I noticed, on another thread, a reference to the Insight on the Scripture publication, and I agree, it is a "bloody good read" for anybody interested in an encyclopedia style reference to the Holy Bible.
Are there any here with a New World Translation of Holy Scripture ?
I often find interest where and when I compare and contrast individual verses, like I have above.
It's very enlightening to experience how each translation "says" what it "says", and discover that "truths" can be gleaned from them all; including the KJV for what I might consider a die hard!
I work hard to always post my opinions; never looking to offend or argue. I do believe everyone deserves respect. Sometimes that means giving them the consideration of honestly saying I disagree. I expect the same in return.
It's good to agree whenever and wherever possible, but it's most important to always be honest, I think....
