It's hot as hell here...:yh_sweat 82degrees, but it feels much hotter. I'm working in a factory with a fan directly aimed at me....phew...
Helefra....haven't you had any thunderstorms...I think they were forecast in your area.
My garden is frazzled although I have been watering with a watering can every night.

Bez, you water you garden with a watering can, and not a hose?
We have been in a drought situation here in the south of England for 2 years chonsi.
Quote from the water company :- "The use of hosepipes, or similar apparatus for watering private gardens and washing private motor cars is prohibited. We are also asking customers to be sensible with their water use around the home."
They have been threatening to put in 'Stand pipes' where you can only get your water in buckets and containers from taps in the street.....

Well from one Brummie to another, you wouldn't want to work there in the winter either
We've just had a thunderstorm that lasted about 45 minutes. There was a bit of rain, but not enough to help the garden. It's very still and airless now so I guess we might get some more storms....they're travelling West from France.
Hope everyone with rotten work conditions has a better day today.I'm off to work in a minute, so can savour the 'freshened' air for a while.

We got a break yesterday, it was pleasant and had the windows open all day and night. Back to the 90's though I think. Foopy had an interesting take on this phenomena, she said its summer and its supposed to be hot. Shes a wise one she is.
Well, It's been very hot here, down "Sahf", but glad to say the temperature has dropped by a few degrees today. Clouding over though, and looks like weve got a good old thunder storm brewing out there...

As ever, Floppy's absolutely right, and we must sound like a bunch of 'woosies'. The trouble is we are ill prepared for extremes of weather..... never mind, it's going to cool down a bit and we can enjoy the sunshine again. :-6

Well it has been really hot and sunny here for weeks, but last night into this morning, the gods have gone nuts, and it is absolutely pouring. The thunderstorm woke me up this morning, and it's still going, it's such a huge contrast to yesterday. I see on the news that hundreds of people have been flooded by this heavy rain, ourselves included, though thankfully it's not too bad at the moment.
Today it's cloudy and humid. No more thunderstorms and no more rain (which I really wanted for the garden). Rain forecast for tomorrow and Sun on Saturday....we'll see....

Well I thought that a spot of rain would be great after all the hot weather we have been having, but boy I wasn't expecting this much. Our city is pretty well known for flooding, as a lot of houses sit on the River Severn, and from what I have seen, this recent rain has caused havoc to a lot of people.
From what I hear the forecast isn't too promising, still a lot of rain and the temperature is supposed to get in the low 20's by the weekend.

We had flash flooding yesterday it cooled things down for a little while but not for long though.

Well it's still raining here, not as bad as the flash flooding from this morning, but it does feel cooler outside, but still pretty sticky. The fans in our house have been working over-drive the last few days, and I'm sure that they could do with a deserved rest, so any cooler weather would be most welcome.
