A spoonful of sugar really does help cure them. Not sure why.

Never lick a steak knife

Come to think of it . What is the reason for a steak knife ? I dont want to eat a steak that I need a steak knife to cut

YOu have a point there. But I have been at friends houses and had very tough steak and did not want to tell the friends wife she had chosen terrible steak so cut it very small. I swear some of it grows larger while you chew.

What is so great about an I Pod ? I think its just a new fad so all the kids have to get one. I can download more music than I know what to do with and burn it onto a disc mp3 format and get 200 songs or more on there, stick it in my player and not have to touch the car stereo for a week. I could put well over a thousand songs in a 5 disc player. Whats so great about I Pod's ?

I don't have an ipod either, and don't intend to get one. You have to pay to download most of the songs, don't you? I play my CD's on my walkman, rechargable batteries, its pretty cheap. Besides, I do not think they would have all the music I would want online to download, not the classical ones.

My iPod has 4gb of memory, and contains my whole music collection. I'm on the road a lot, Nomad and always used to miss my music. I find it relaxing in the evening, or when I'm in transit somewhere. The iPod is the size of a couple of credit cards glued together and weighs about the same. I have a powerpoint recharger, so don't need a computer to charge it. I wear it on a special neck chord complete with earphones. There are other small music players that fill the bill, but I like the sleek line of the iPod. Even if it is an Apple product. Grin.

PS I've never downloaded music from the internet, well practically never. I've copied all my favourite CDs, old vinyl recordings and even cassette tapes onto one big awesome pamshaped collection.

Ok I can see that. I have cd's all over the car, it gets frustrating and sometimes dangerous. Can you seperate music by albums or categorize so, say you want to listen to Marvin Gaye only, is there a way to pull that up ?

Yes you can. And you can listen to separate albums, or playlists or randomise everything. I usually do the last - shuffle mode. Can end up with a comedy piece by Tom Lehrer followed by a folksong, followed by something medieval, then something French, then maybe a piece of jazz, gangsta rap or an opera aria. The way the iPod is connected to the neck chain means you can read the display, the correct way up if you wish, while say, jogging, and with a light stroke of a finger (by touch not vision) you can adjust volume, go back or go forward. I find it so convenient, I use it even in the car while driving. No more fiddling around with CDplayers and controls. Turn it on and the iPod is hands free.

The software that comes with the iPod means you copy the music first to your computer which can mirror the iPod music. Sort in the computer as you wish then drag and drop to copy. Really easy.

It's now 22:31 on Sunday 9 July, 2006 and tomorrow is forecast to reach a maximum of about 12 degrees Celsius, windy. Probably minimum of about -3. No doubt snowing in the hills.

Time I was hitting the hay.. G'night all.

A random thought about my future since I found the garden: House never gets cleaned, mail never gets collected, bills never get paid, birds never get fed, yard is turning yellow, plants are withering and I'm running out of band-aids that I've put on the back of my legs, where the skin ripped off when I tried to jump up and go the the bathroom.
