I can live with that. The designation usually falls to me. Not that I am such a huge drinker, but it would be nice to tip back a couple of rum and cokes and then get a ride home. Thanks for the offer, and here are my keys. You will know them..mine have the little blue pig keychain.

Black Velvet

Mississippi in the middle of a dry spell

Jimmy Rogers on the victrola up high

Mama's dancing with baby on her shoulder

The Sun is setting like molasses in the sky.

The boy could sing, knew how to move, everything.

Always wanting more, he'd leave you longing for.

CHORUS:

Black velvet and that little boy smile

Black velvet with that slow southern style

A new religion that'll bring you to your knees

Black velvet if you please.

Up in Memphis the music's like a heat wave

White lightning, bound to drive you wild.

Mama's baby's in the heart of every school girl

"Love me tender" leaves 'em cryin' in the aisle

The way he moved, it was a sin, so sweet and true.

Always wanting more, he'd leave you longing for.

CHORUS:

Black velvet and that little boy smile

Black velvet with that slow southern style

A new religion that'll bring you to your knees

Black velvet if you please.

Every word of every song that he sang was for you.

In a flash he was gone, it happened so soon,

What could you do?

CHORUS:

Black velvet and that little boy smile

Black velvet with that slow southern style

A new religion that'll bring you to your knees

Black velvet if you please.

Black velvet and that little boy smile

Black velvet with that slow southern style

A new religion that'll bring you to your knees

Black velvet if you please.

...If you please

If you please

I don't believe there are places that actually have welcome wagons. I'm not moving again to find out.

Picture it: Nomad is courteously serving a very prim and proper group of women in their paisley skirts and high-necked blouses with broaches at the throat a fine tea in a delicate porcelain service, and glances to his window to see all of us wagging our bare asses at him. Perfect!! I'm in!!!

*walks into Nomad's backyard*

What in the world is this??? Smouldering charcol ashes...nasty looking pinty utensils...bits and pieces of charred meat???

Has Nomad been making sacrifices again or is that what's left of the Wagon Ladies?:-3

They were playing cowboys & Indians and Nomad circled them around the wagon & burned 'em at the STAKE!

It was SCARY!

C&B & some of us were just too scared to save them!

Honest! :-3
